IIHM Kolkata Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I am thinking I would like to get a 2years experience certificate first which help me to grow above in this hospitality industry with a Reputated 5-star hotel which helps me to make my CV strong. I think it would be best.

- The faculties here are top-notch, highly qualified with a lot of experience, and they are very knowledgeable in their respective subjects. - The exams here are easy, the passing percentage is around 35%, which is very low and the course curriculum is relevant and makes us ready to go for the industry.

The syllabus of course was updated we get six months of IET at a 5-star hotel. All the faculties were enough qualified, they had a minimum of 10 years of experience in the hotel industry. Fine dining, food fest, Rigolo, Young Chef Olympiad, and Celebrity chefs are being invited and the participants are from different world gatherings in one place for the competition. Lots to learn and experience library is good, computer labs are well equipped, classrooms are completely air-conditioned. Smart classroom and hygenic.

From semester 5 the students are eligible for placements in any 5-star property across the world in the different sectors of hospitality like hostel, airline and catering services. Taj, Oberoi, Qatar, TanSATs , Marriott and many other renowned brands come to our college for campus placement.

The college has a very good placement record plus the college is very popular for placement. Some of my batchmates who have done international internships were successful in grabbing international placement. The college maintains a very good record of 80-90% placement which is a very good record in comparison to many other colleges in the competitions. Hyatt Group, Marriott, Taj Group, Le Meridien, InterContinental, Oberoi Group, ITC Hotels, Taj Hotels, Ramada, Max, are the names of some of the hotels which took part in the college placement drive. The international placement was provided in countries like the USA, France, the Middle East, Malaysia, Singapore, China, Maldives, Mauritius. The highest salary offer was around 5 LPA and the average salary offer is around 3 LPA. The learning experience in the college is very good.

Placement-80% of students got placed. The highest package offered is 4n25 LPA .The lowest package is 2.5 LPA .Top recruiterd are Taj, oberoi, Hyatt, Aditya Birla Group of companies etc. 100%of students got internship opportunities. The top role offered is MT

IIHM 5 th semester students are eligible for the campus selection and placements and companies visit for selection were Aims, CMC, woodland and they offers about 3 lakh / 4 lakh package and about 90% of students get campus selection.

From the 5th semester students are eligible for the campus selection and placements and companies visits for selection are Marriott, Radisson, ITC and offer a 3 lakh / 4 lakh package and about 80% of students are only eligible for campus selection.

Placements are one of the highlighted factors of this college .It always maintains a record of 100% placements . From 3rd semister students are eligible for placements .They are trained in 3 rd year for interviews through the process of mock interviews and personality enhancing class. There were multiple companies such as JW Marriott , Taj Group , Oberoi group , Accor hotels , Ritz Carlton , Hilton , And multi speciality restaurant such as chillis , barbeque nation , and many more . The packages offered depends on the student how well they performe during interview. The highest package are offered by Oberoi group in India with a CTC of 3.6-4 lakhs , and outside the country by Hilton hotels are 5-7 lakhs . The average packages are offered is 2-3 lakhs by Taj group , Oberoi etc. The placement percentage is 95-100. My plans are to get a job as a Bartender in a reputed 5 star hotel.

As I am doing hotel management, so i look for many college even government ones but my college IIHM provides much more better facilities, international internship, 100% placement and best environment. Even they give option to study abroad (University of West London) and switzerland. As i am looking to study abroad IIHM providing me both national and international degree.
