My college experience

Likes

Faculties in this college is friendly, more over supportive and well qualified.
Lab facilities are more likely better compared to other colleges as of my knowledge.
Infrastructure and environment are more likely to my preference.

Dislikes

Hostel mess food are not that good to be honest.
Cleanliness of the hostel is on the down side.
There is a very strict policy for attendance like we should have 80% attendance for attending university exam.

Internships Opportunities:

Amrita is giving opportunities in good companies such as Cipla, sun pharma, Johnson and Johnson,etc.The stipend depends upon your roles offered to you. I think one will have a minimum stipend of 15,000/- and above.

Life at Amrita

Likes

There will be sport fest and arts fest in all academic year.And other programs related to pharmacy .Inter College and Inter University sport meet.
Overall the campus is peaceful and welcoming
Lap facilities for ug pg and PhD are quite remarkable

Dislikes

The mess provided by our college never acceptable
Strict attendance policy due to which student feel difficult

Internships Opportunities:

In Our college six months internship is provide by a wide variety of companies like Sun Pharma , Cipla,and other industries which run by government which offer interships with stipend after the completion of the course

One of the best pharmacy College in india

Likes

The college has good faculty which will guide you through out your course
There is good infrastructure in the college including good labs
There is less burden of assignments and seminars

Dislikes

There is a very strict policy of attendance 80% minimum
The hostel facilities are average in terms of food and rooms
There is a rule for you to remove/trim your beard for exams

Internships Opportunities:

The company that are offering roles are Sun Pharma The roles are like in the r and d department. There are also placements in hospital pharmacy also provided by the college. This can be in Amrita hospital or any other hospitals which they have tie ups with .

Life at amrita

Likes

The campus is quite peaceful and welcoming . Student teacher interaction is quite good.
The quality of education provided here is remarkable and is one of the best as we have developed new system for education
Lab facilities for UG, PG and PHD are great they have dedicated softwares and high quality equipment for our better educations.

Dislikes

The facility provided for students like the mess and stuff have to be improved because its not that promising
Feast for students is quite low when compared to other colleges
Strict attendance policy which is quite tires the students basically students face lot of issue regarding attendance

Internships Opportunities:

There are many companies which provide placement opportunities for our students and packages are quite good we can choose from industrial or clinical opportunities. For example like Sun Pharma , Cipla and many more .

Its good until you make use of the opportunities that come up!

Likes

Great exposure to practical scenarios. A lot of habds on training programs are conducted by the faculty and also by external reputed agencies and teams.
Scientific seminars and sessions are held for all streams of pharmacy every two months.
A great opportunity to be trained under an esteemed group of facilty who are expert expertises in their respective fields.

Dislikes

Living expenses for a student studying here is a bit high compared to most of the colleges in Kerala.

Internships Opportunities:

Internship options are very less as companies that come for placements look for m skilled candidated to take in a designation postition. Since the course is tightly packed with project work and theory classes and examination, currently there is no provision of specific internship training period with the course but the required arrangements are being done by the placement cell team.

academic validation and degree here . it is of great importance .as Amrita in its own is a repotted college
faculty and people here are very supportive
their are regular event such as talks, seminar, quiz , fest.

Dislikes

the food here I am not at all adjusted to that.
if you are from different state it is difficult to adjust.
the temperature here is very hot all throughout the year

Internships Opportunities:

internship here are provided of two areas one is industrial area where you are recruited by a pharmaceutical company or any pharmacy shop other option is hospital pharmacy where u have to work as a intern in a hospital pharmacy.

my experience about bpharm

Likes

I like how new study strategies and criterias are being included in our curriculum
The way academics is given priority is another plus point
The study materials they provide is on point for preparing for university exams

Dislikes

Academic load is a bit high as the college really prioritize it
Very less holidays which makes life feel a bit hectic and overwhelmed
Changing syllabus frequently so it's difficult to adapt

Internships Opportunities:

Basically placements are available to renowned companies like Apollo, cipla, Dr.Reddys etc. Fourth year of this course is mainly based on presenting project and publishing our work . They provide one month internship in the last semester

Classes are neat and clean. Smart board facility is available in each class.
We have extracurricular activities weekly, like yoga, literature club, etc.
The way teachers teach is extraordinary.

Dislikes

Internships Opportunities:

Internship is provided at Amrita Institute of Medical Science, Kochi itself. They internship is very much effective as we get exposed to all departments and all kinds of patients. That is a really good opportunity.

It is mandatory for each student to publish a review article or research or as of any source in order to get the degree certificate
The amount of clinical exposure provided to the students is really beneficial

Dislikes

The campus is too strict sometimes, with no phone usage policy inside the campus
Hostel curfew is very early for girls hostel compared to boys hostel

Internships Opportunities:

Apollo hospital Nestle Episource novo nordisk Kims hospital These are the top recruiting companies The roles includes clinical pharmacist, drug analyst, scientific writer etc The stipend for pharmd interns is approximately about Rs 10000

It is compulsory to write an review article for students inorder to get the degree. So as the number of review paper published increases , it adds an plus point to our resume.
Beside academic subject the collage also provide value for Culture Yoga etc
Well equiped Practical labs for each subject with eduacted lab assistants

Dislikes

College is good for studies but not for events

Tata Consultancy Services, Skin Clinic and Pharmacy ,Episource, Novo Nordisk, Centaur Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. , Indegene, Apollo Hospitals, Bioclinica, Inc are the top recruiting companies with a median package of 4 LPA .
