- Course structure is really great
- Atmosphere of the uni is always motivating
- Professors are really helpful
Dislikes
- The campus area is little small
- It does not have any ground to play some games
- At my time there was very less interaction with other students due to Corona
Placement
- I think 85% of students got a job within 6 months after completing the course.
- The average salary range is from 50,000 euros to 65,000 euros per annum.
- After graduation, one can find a job on online websites like stepstons, indeed, glassdorf and one can apply from the official website of the company they want to be in.
- THD holds a special website for the students so they can apply directly from the web and easily
- Muehlbaure, Zollner, and RKT were the major companies to hire the fresh graduates
- I posted on FB, and I also asked my student union to find accommodation near the uni. They helped me to find the apartment. There are some websites that can be useful to get the accommodation eg Ebay Klienenisigen.
- The monthly rent was 200 euros, which includes electricity for my apartment.
- It was easy to get accommodation.
- My house was 2.5 km away from the uni.

- Open campus, no hassle for entering, no walls, no doors, no locks; anyone can join the library.
- Perfectly connected to nature; due to presence of no boundaries, nature seems everywhere and never-ending
- No attendance needed; you can chose which subjects to study each semester and which exam to give each semester. your education is completely controlled by you.
Dislikes
- There is nothing in particular I don't dislike; I mean, no place is perfect, and we should learn to adapt and find peace where we are. As such, I have not encountered any bad experiences. So right now I don't have anything in the top of my head that recalls any bad memory or service regarding the college.
- Coming here and learning how to use all the it services like student mail, DIT website and ilearn could be a bit confusing.
- Finding the classes could be a bit trying and confusing too, as the campus is located in the city center, a corporate building, and the main campus. Navigating between them is fun when you are full of energy and the weather is nice, which in my experience never has been super good. HAHAH
Placement
- For my course, more than 84% of students get a job within 6 months. The average salary really depends on which position you're applying for and which company you're applying to, but the average salary of an AI engineer graduating from my college is more than 50k per annum. Usually, you find jobs in many different places.
- Some are here on campus, and you can also apply anywhere by yourself. In my course, you have to do one semester of compulsory internship and one semester of compulsory bachelor thesis, which makes you well-trained for the future market. So you know how to work and where to work, and finding jobs becomes easy. Placement experiences — a few of my friends are working in BMW, and some are working in Mercedes, Siemens, and SAM.
- They are all working in big companies, and some are working in Deggendorf in small companies, but we have tie-ups with big companies, so it's pretty easy to find jobs after completing your degree.
- Off-campus. I stay in a private apartment managed by a local housing company on Bahnhofstraße 21 (Deggendorf). I found it by emailing housing companies/landlords and checking WG-Gesucht, ImmoScout24, and DIT student WhatsApp/Facebook groups. Rent: in the mid-€400s warm (€600 deposit, ); heating/water included, electricity & internet separate).
- The place is furnished (bed, desk, wardrobe), has a shared kitchen with basic appliances, a clean bathroom, laundry in the building, bike storage, and secure entry. Challenges: demand is very high around the semester start—listings go fast; some landlords ask for SCHUFA or German pay slips (hard for new students); replies can be slow; and getting the Wohnungsgeberbestätigung in time for city registration can be stressful.
- Recommendations: start early; write a short intro in German and English; attach passport/ID and enrollment letter in the first email; have the deposit ready; ask for a video tour or visit before paying; Never transfer money without a signed contract (prefer German IBAN); confirm what’s Warmmiete vs. extra costs (electricity/internet). Distance: about 15 minutes on foot to the DIT campus (5–7 minutes by bike); bus/train and supermarkets are close. Where most Indian students stay: shared WGs near campus or around the Bahnhof/city-center area; a few get into student dorms, which fill up quickly.

- Located right next to the river Donau in Deggendorf makes for a calming atmosphere.
- Friendly and helpful staff and faculty members.
- Facilities like the library and cafeteria(Mensa) are very well maintained.
Dislikes
- Located in a small town/village, connectivity from other places might be an issue especially when there is bad weather.
- Language barrier is strong as this is a small town and not many people speak good English.
- Campus does not include a dedicated sports ground or a sports arena, even though there are plenty, but not just in the campus itself
Placement
- There isn't a set number as to whether people actually receive employment within 6 months of completing their course, but it's based on the ones who have good internship experience and who have good grades. Completing a master's thesis in a company helps, as you can then keep that as proof of work and the company can consider you for the full-time job.
- Average salary range is around 38,000 euros to 53,000 euros for a fresh master's graduate, but it can vary from person to person and company to company.
- In Germany, there are job agencies that help you find jobs, but other than that, students usually apply for companies in portals like linkedin, stepstone, xing and the company portals. There would be job fairs taking place from time to time but there as well, they would just redirect you to the company portal, but they would be helpful in getting to know if they have vacancies or not.
- One of my friends, who had 3 years' experience in India, has landed an internship at BMW, so experience helps and he put in around 200 applications, so being persistent helps and he applied for his role specifically and tailor-made his resume for each application he sent. Other friends of mine who landed internships did the same too.
- Major companies here include BMW, Siemens, SAP, Zeiss, Volkswagen and multiple startups. Startups can be found out through Job fairs and they would let you know whether they're hiring right now or not.
- I got my accommodation on a website called "WG Gesucht".
- Monthly rent is around 430 and it was a private room, a studio apartment with a balcony, a kitchen, a bathroom, a cupboard, a chair and a table.
- There was initially a lot of competition and a lot of scams where they didn't show the room photos and asked for a deposit beforehand.
- I would recommend them to start searching early, and do not transfer any amount of money before signing the contract.
- My accommodation is around a 20 mins walk from my university and usually the students stay near the city centre; if there is no option, then they would have to settle for any accommodation for the current semester and then they can change once they come here and spend a month or so.

- Beautiful location
- Practical skill based teaching approach which makes you job ready.
- Very knowledgeable profs who teach masterfully.
Dislikes
- Accomodation is hard to find (problem everywhere in Germany). Dorm rooms are limited so most people stay in a rented room
- People who are used to rote learning and have forgot to use their brain in exams will not like the courses here.
- Little to no placement support
Placement
- Right now the job market is horrible, to say the least. I couldn't find a job there even after 18 months of continuously trying. The university provides a career newsletter that contains all the opportunities across Germany in companies that have a tie-up with the University.
- But if you get a job, the salary can range from €50,000 to €70,000 starting. Students usually find jobs through internships and referrals and through this newsletter. Also, profs have industry contacts they refer students to.
- I found my accommodation through ebay Kleinanzeigen. Monthly rent was 350€/month. All basic amenities such as heating, a washing machine, and a kitchen with oven are included.

- Limited exposure to real-world industry practices (more theory-heavy than practical)
Placement
- Most graduates from DIT’s master’s in Mechatronics secure jobs within six months, with open placement. The average starting salary is usually in the range of €52,000 - 65,000 per year.
- Students commonly find jobs through internships, networking, online job portals, and support from the university’s career services.
- At DIT, students can stay in university-managed dorms or private student apartments. The typical rental cost ranges from €300 to €450 per month, depending on location and facilities, with furnished single flats and utilities often included.

- The Campus is located in beautiful and clean city
- The Campus is modern and the labs are well equipped.
Dislikes
- Student housing is hard to find and is bit expensive.
- There aren’t many food choices on campus.
- It’s hard to find a part-time job because the town is small.
Placement
- Most students, more than 90% of the students, manage to get a full-time job within 6 months after graduation.
- The average starting salary is usually between €45,000 and €60,000 per year, depending on your skills and the company
- People usually find jobs through internships, online job portals like LinkedIn or StepStone, or through networking and university career fairs.
- A lot of my seniors got hired by the same companies where they interned or did their final thesis. Common job roles include Software Developer, IT Consultant, Quantum Engineer, System engineer, etc.
- Some well-known companies that hire from our programme include BMW, Siemens, SAP, Amazon, and many more.
- I went for off-campus housing because on-campus options were pretty limited.
- I found my room using online sites like WG-Gesucht and joined some student groups on WhatsApp where people share room offers.
- Monthly Rent is 445 euros, Including Electricity, Water, Internet and Heating.
- It was a bit tough to find good accommodation since student Dorms are limited. Start looking as early as you can, join local student groups online, and keep your documents ready so you can grab a place quickly.
- My accommodation is 15 mins from the university campus, and most indian students stay in Student Dorm nearby the university.

Likes
- I like the intercultural exposure and mutual effort from the university to help students achieve their goals. Support is provided when required by the university on professional and personal living in Germany.
Dislikes
- More practical courses could be appreciated, and industrial visits must be planned more often. An appropriate amount of national and international students would be good.
Placement
80% students are placed depending on skill level, salary depends on course and experience, german language proficiency is much appreciated.
I chose this college while keeping in mind multiple factors like Course Curriculum, University Fee, Country, International exposure etc. My overall experience was good with respect to the course curriculum, practical experience, lab, professors, international exposure, and extracurricular activities.
Likes
- Small campus, so faculty is easily accessible.
Dislikes
- Since it is a small campus and a small town, limited housing and part-time jobs.
Placement
There is no concept of placements here in Germany. Even though we study at the top universities, no company hires us directly. We need to apply on our self and usually, universities help us in this process. Overall, its a challenge finding a job, but not impossible.
The reason why I chose this is due to the interdisciplinary and industry-ready course structure. It has courses on state-of-the-art technologies like 3d printing, Autonomous driving, robotics and ARVR. Job perspective was also higher in this course and the course structure was only 3 semesters.

- University management always takes initiatives so that students feel good and have a low stress level regarding their studies by organizing day trips and outdoor activities.
- University is relatively new but innovative, there are multiple research projects that are going on in the university in collaboration with many big german manufacturers.
- Modern Infrastructure and supportive staff that sums it up to a healthy and friendly environment.
Dislikes
- There is nothing that I find worse or not acceptable but there is no university which is perfect.
- Shortage of accommodation options and less frequency of public transport in some campuses made it inconvenient and a waste of time but could be solvable if some can travel with private means of transport.
Placement
In Germany, there are various job fairs organized by universities, students have to go out on their own to hunt a job, Average starting salary is 50,000 euro per year.
I chose this college because of it's modern course curriculum, they provide variety of options to specialize and build career, easy to switch lines after bachelor via this course. The journey at DIT was like a roller coaster ride or I can say full of adventure which i enjoyed a lot over the time. Have learnt a lot of new things and developed myself for the modern industry with good knowledge of the latest technologies.

- I applied randomly for a lot of universities and particular courses among the one's I preferred. This University had so many courses I was eligible for.
- The classes and teachings. The extra curricular activities. Curriculum. Professors Student life balancing the studies and work. Not much pressure on studies rather they help mentally and gives positive responses for students.
Dislikes
- I don't dislike anything here. The only thing is the public transport here which runs few times. Other than that there is nothing wrong or anything to be disliked here.
Placement
There is no Direct placements from any of the university in germany. They assist you with career opportunities and advises to prepare cv and perform in interviews. But most all the courses are job oriented in my university so students find a job within 6 months time mostly.
The university is situated in ourskirts of the area and reaching there is a crucial task as public transport is only once in an hour. But you can have your private vehicle or cycle and get there easily because the whole area is small. The classes and the resources provided are very good and case studies help us get to know into subjects really good. The professors are really helpful and understanding and they help us in any way possible. All the students are extremely friendly and into activities and fun. Overall I would say the experience here is wonderful.
