CBSE: No Decision Made on to Reduce 50% Syllabus of Class 10th, 12th Board Exams 2021

The officials from the Central board of secondary education, India have clarified that there will be no 50% reduction in the syllabus for the 10th and 12th board exams which will be conducted in the year 2021.

This notice was announced as a clarification for the rumor that said CBSE syllabus for the 10th and 12th will be reduced by 50%. 

CBSE had reduced the Syllabus for 10th and 12th board exams earlier by 30% due to the academics getting affected by the pandemic. The revised syllabus with the reduced part was released on July 7, 2020.

The reduced and revised syllabus of all the subjects is uploaded on the official website of CBSE, separately. They are in Pdf format from where the students can download the portion for reference.

 After that, no decision for reducing the syllabus by 50% has been taken yet. However, suggestions and feedback are being gained from all the affiliated schools about the same.

Sample papers and marking scheme of CBSE 10th and12th Board exams have also been uploaded on the official website for students to access. These sample papers have been designed according to the newly revised and reduced syllabus. 

CBSE 2021: How to download the sample papers? 

  • Visit the official website https://cbse.nic.in/
  • From the two options that appear on the screen, click on ‘Check website’ 
  • From the options select ‘Examinations’ 
  • A drop-down list will appear from which the candidate must choose ‘Exam related materials.’ 
  • The screen will show all exam-related materials such as sample papers, marking schemes, materials of previous years, etc. 
  • Candidates can click on any material to access it. 
  • The pdf of the material will get downloaded to the device automatically. 
  • Students can take a print out of the question papers for studies and revision.

The section of exam-related materials on the website also has sample answer keys of previous years which can be useful for references of the students. The sample answer key for 2021 also has an answer key along with it.
