TS ECET 2026 Registration Extended Till April 23; Exam on May 15

The Telangana Government Higher Education Council (TGCHE) has extended the TS ECET 2026 registration deadline till April 23, 2026, without any late fee. The Telangana Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS ECET) 2026 is scheduled for May 15, 2026, for lateral entry admission into the second year of B.E/B.Tech and B.Pharm programmes. Candidates can register online at the official portal ecet.tgche.ac.in using their credentials.

TS ECET 2026 is a state-level entrance examination conducted by Osmania University on behalf of TGCHE for diploma holders and B.Sc (Mathematics) graduates seeking lateral entry into engineering and pharmacy courses. The exam will be held in a single session from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon on May 15, 2026.

Candidates must secure a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in their qualifying examination for general category, while reserved category candidates require 40% aggregate marks. The examination will be conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode across multiple examination centres in Telangana. Counselling for seat allotment is expected to commence in June 2026 after the result declaration.

TS ECET 2026 Registration Extended Dates

• March 15, 2026- TS ECET 2026 registration begins
• April 18, 2026- Last date for registration without late fee (earlier deadline)
• April 23, 2026- Extended last date for registration without late fee
• April 28, 2026- Final last date for registration with late fee
• May 15, 2026- TS ECET 2026 examination date
• June 2026- Counselling registration expected to begin

Diploma holders in engineering and B.Sc (Mathematics) graduates can apply for the TS ECET 2026 for lateral entry into the second year of B.E/B.Tech and B.Pharm programmes across Telangana.

The exam will be conducted in CBT mode with 80 MCQs for 3 hours (9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon). Each correct answer carries 4 marks, with 1 mark negative marking for wrong answers.

Candidates must apply online at ecet.tgche.ac.in by April 23, 2026, paying an application fee of INR 500. The admit card will be released about a week before the exam.

After results, counselling will begin in June 2026, followed by seat allotment based on rank and preferences. The admission process is expected to conclude by July 2026.
