The full annual tuition fee for the MBBS course must be paid each year, and partial payments will not be permitted, states HIMSR.

The Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (HIMSR), a premier constituent of Jamia Hamdard, has released its updated fee structure for the academic session 2026-27.
The announcement, which covers both undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MD/MS) programmes, indicates a significant financial commitment for aspiring medical professionals, with total academic costs for PG courses reaching up to ₹ 1.25 Crore for premium clinical specializations.
The release of the prospectus serves as a critical roadmap for candidates qualifying through NEET UG and NEET PG 2026. According to the official document, the institution continues to maintain a dual-fee slab for Indian (General and Muslim Minority) and NRI categories, alongside mandatory one-time charges and refundable security deposits.
For the MBBS program, the total academic fee for the 4.5-year duration stands at ₹ 77.68 Lakhs. This figure is inclusive of annual tuition, examination fees, and one-time administrative charges but excludes hostel and mess expenses.
For Postgraduate (MD/ MS) programmes, the costs vary significantly based on the chosen specialisation. While non-clinical and Master of Public Health (MPH) courses start at a more accessible ₹ 2.55 Lakhs, clinical specialities such as Radio-diagnosis and Pediatrics represent the higher end of the spectrum.

The Cost of Medical Education at HIMSR
An analysis of the 2026 prospectus reveals that HIMSR remains one of the more expensive private-tier medical institutions in the capital, though it justifies the cost through its high clinical load and attachment to the Hakeem Abdul Hameed Centenary Hospital.
A notable point for applicants is the Discontinuation Bond; students are required to execute an affidavit undertaking the payment of the full course fee should they decide to leave the program midway.
Furthermore, the institute has clarified that the ₹ 2,00,000 security deposit paid to the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) during the registration process will not be adjusted against the college fees. This must be claimed as a refund from the MCC separately.
With tuition fees for MBBS pegged at ₹ 16,00,000 per annum for the first four years, the financial planning for parents must also account for an additional ₹ 3,30,000 in refundable security and library deposits payable at the time of admission.
Students are advised to stay updated with the latest announcements from the Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (HIMSR) to avoid missing any important admission or fee-related updates.
