Next Steps After JEE Main 2026 Result

For Students Satisfied with Their Score

Candidates who are happy with their Session 1 performance should now focus on the upcoming admission process. Those who have qualified for JEE Advanced must begin their preparation without delay, as the level of competition is significantly higher.

At the same time, students aiming for NITs, IIITs and GFTIs should start researching colleges based on their expected rank and previous year cut-offs. It is also important to keep all necessary documents ready and regularly check official updates related to JoSAA counselling, choice filling and seat allotment to avoid missing any deadlines.

For Students Not Satisfied with Their Score

Students who are not satisfied with their performance in Session 1 should stay motivated, as the NTA is currently conducting the registration process for JEE Main 2026 Session 2. This gives aspirants another opportunity to improve their percentile and overall ranking. The best score from both sessions will be considered while preparing the final merit list.

As per the official schedule, the last date to apply for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 is February 25, 2026. The Session 2 examination is scheduled to be conducted from April 2 to April 9, 2026.
