NTA has released the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 result on jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates can download their scorecard, check the percentile and toppers’ list, and analyse their performance. The final cut-off and AIR will be announced after Session 2.

The NTA has officially declared the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 result on its official website. Candidates who appeared for the January session can now access their scorecards by visiting jeemain.nta.nic.in using their application number and date of birth. The results for JEE Main 2026 Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.) have been declared. The results for Paper 2 (B.Arch and B.Planning) will be announced at a later date.

The result is available in the form of the JEE Main 2026 scorecard. At the same time, NTA has also released the names and scores of the top-performing candidates in the exam.
A total of 13,55,293 candidates registered for the exam, including applicants from centres outside India. Out of these, 13,04,653 candidates appeared for the examination. The overall attendance percentage stood at 96.26%, reflecting a high participation rate among engineering aspirants across the country and abroad.

There is no fixed passing mark in JEE Main. Every student who appears for the examination is given a scorecard and a percentile. However, the final cut-off for JEE Advanced eligibility and the All India Rank (AIR) will be declared only after the results of JEE Main 2026 Session 2 are announced.

How to download JEE Mains Result 2026?
The steps to download JEE Mains 2026 session 1 results are as follows.
- Go to the official NTA website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
- On the homepage, click on the link titled “JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Result.”
- Enter your login details, such as your application number, password or date of birth.
- After filling in the details, click on the “Submit” button.
- Your JEE Main 2026 Session 1 scorecard will be displayed on the screen.
- Download the scorecard and keep a copy saved for future use during counselling & admission.

The NTA has also released the JEE Main 2026 topper list along with the results. This year, a total of 12 candidates have secured a perfect 100 percentile in Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.) across different states of the country.

JEE Main 2026 Expected Cutoff
The expected JEE Main 2026 cutoff for different categories is provided below. Next Steps After JEE Main 2026 Result
For Students Satisfied with Their Score
Candidates who are happy with their Session 1 performance should now focus on the upcoming admission process. Those who have qualified for JEE Advanced must begin their preparation without delay, as the level of competition is significantly higher.
At the same time, students aiming for NITs, IIITs and GFTIs should start researching colleges based on their expected rank and previous year cut-offs. It is also important to keep all necessary documents ready and regularly check official updates related to JoSAA counselling, choice filling and seat allotment to avoid missing any deadlines.
For Students Not Satisfied with Their Score
Students who are not satisfied with their performance in Session 1 should stay motivated, as the NTA is currently conducting the registration process for JEE Main 2026 Session 2. This gives aspirants another opportunity to improve their percentile and overall ranking. The best score from both sessions will be considered while preparing the final merit list.
As per the official schedule, the last date to apply for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 is February 25, 2026. The Session 2 examination is scheduled to be conducted from April 2 to April 9, 2026.
