KCET 2023

New Delhi: With the KCET 2023 Result anticipated to be announced shortly, the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has identified a discrepancy in the RD data of candidates who have applied for reservations. According to the latest information, approximately 30,000 candidates still need to rectify their data and the deadline to make the corrections is today, June 12, 2023, on the official website kea.kar.nic.in.

The recent notice from KEA states that candidates who do not correct their data by 11 AM today, June 12, 2023 will be categorized under the general merit quota. S Ramya, ED at KEA, has stated that students with mismatched RD numbers will no longer be eligible for seats reserved under specific quotas. Earlier, the KCET 2023 Exam took place on May 20 and 21, 2023, involving approximately 260,000 candidates.

According to the data released by KEA, there were discrepancies in the information provided by around 80,000 students. Among them, 30,000 students still need to rectify their data. The mismatch occurred because most students submitted their EWS certificates instead of the required income certificates. S Ramya stated that this would not be deemed acceptable based on the current CET Rules.

KCET Result 2023 Likely to be Released This Week

The expected release date for the KCET Result 2023 is this week, specifically on June 14 or June 15, 2023. However, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has not yet confirmed the exact date and time. Once the results are published, they will be available for viewing on the official website, kea.kar.nic.in.

As per the reports, the KCET result was originally scheduled to be announced today. However, due to the mismatch in candidate details, the declaration of the result will be delayed by a few days. According to one of the KEA officials, although there is no specific date given for the release of the results, they will be prepared for publishing by June 14.

However, the official also stated that the authority intends to wait until the morning of June 15 to announce the results. This decision is made to ensure that KCET candidates have enough time to reach out for any queries or concerns they may have if the results are declared in the morning.
