The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has granted permission for candidates to resign without forfeiture during the first round of NEET SS Counselling 2023. The decision follows various representations, especially from those allotted INI SS seats.

New Delhi: In the first round of the NEET SS Counseling 2023, the MCC has granted permission for resignation without forfeiture. This decision comes in response to multiple representations received by the committee, particularly from candidates allotted seats in INI SS.

As per the counselling scheme, resignations are typically not permitted from Round 1 onward in NEET SS Counselling. However, considering the larger interests of candidates, the competent authority has opted to permit resignation without forfeiture for seats allocated to such candidates in Round 1 of NEET SS Counselling 2023, the MCC stated in an official notice.

The committee had requested INI SS candidates seeking to resign from their MCC-allotted seat to submit their INI SS allotment letter along with an undertaking (Copy A) to MCC via email @colleges.superspeciality@gmail.com by Nov 29, 11 AM.

Only candidates who send emails with the necessary documents by this deadline will be permitted to resign, and the window for resignation will be open from 2:00 P.M on November 29 to 5:00 P.M on November 30, 2023.

Furthermore, the MCC stated that the candidates allocated seats in INIs desiring to resign should contact their allocated college to submit their resignation and retrieve their original documents within the specified timeframe.

It is important for candidates to ensure that the resignation letter is generated 'Online' from the MCC portal by the college authorities. Any offline resignations conducted by the college will be deemed 'Null & Void,’ the MCC said.
