Odisha CM Launches Nua-O Scholarship 2024 Distribution Program

New Delhi: The Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik launched the Nuwa-O scholarship scheme distribution program in several districts of Odisha on February 26, 2024. The Nutana Unnata Abhilasha (NUA) Odisha initiative aims to inspire youth by providing opportunities for continual skilling, re-skilling, and up-skilling. 

For the fiscal years 2023-24 to 2025-26, a budget of INR 385 crore is allocated for the Nutana Unnata Abhilasha (NUA) Odisha scheme, through which it will cover all 30 districts, with a focus on tribal and remote areas. 

Informing about this initiative, I & PR Department Odisha shared on X, “Hon'ble Chief Minister Mr Naveen Patnaik will launch the scholarship distribution program in Sambalpur, Devagarh and Anugol districts today under "Nuwa-O '' scholarship scheme. February 26, 2024 #NUAOdisha #NaveenOdisha”.

Eligibility Criteria for Nua-O Scholarship 2024 Distribution Program

The scholarship will be offered to students enrolled in undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Odisha state universities, government and non-government-aided colleges. It will further include Sanskrit colleges run by the Higher Education Department. Students whose parents pay income taxes or are permanent government employees will be ineligible for the grant.
