Reports suggest that a total of 101,643 candidates appeared for WBJEE 2025, out of which 100,502 candidates passed the exam. WBJEE 2025 pass percentage was 98.88%.

The Calcutta HC has refused to interfere with the WBJEE 2025 result timeline. In a previous hearing, WBJEEB was instructed to release the fresh WBJEE merit list by today, August 22, 2025.

Based on the merit list, the WBJEE 2025 result will be released anytime soon, in the last week of August 2025, in the afternoon. 

WBJEE result 2025 is expected to be released after August 22, 2025, once the fresh merit list is published. The result will be based on the merit list that follows the previous 7% OBC reservation for 66 communities. 

• WBJEE result 2025 release time will be in the afternoon, between 2 PM and 4 PM, tentatively.

WBJEE 2025 results have been delayed for over 2 months now. However, it is expected to be out by the first week of September 2025. WBJEE result is released 30 to 40 days after the exam.

On August 7, the Calcutta High Court ordered the WBJEEB to release a fresh WBJEE 2025 merit list within 15 days, that is, by August 22, 2025. This merit list will be created following the 7% OBC reservation criteria.

Calcutta High Court has ordered the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) to release the fresh WBJEE 2025 merit list within 15 days, by August 22, 2025. The fresh panel is instructed to provide 7% reservation for the 66 OBC categories.

The WBJEE 2025 results have been delayed due to a stay order by the Calcutta High Court on the revised OBC reservation list, which will remain in effect until July 31.

The delay stems from the state government's addition of 76 castes to the OBC list without conducting a proper survey, a move that has been questioned by the court. Since category-wise ranks are a part of the result, the WBJEE Board is waiting for further clarity.

With a mark of 120 in WBJEE, there are high chances of getting into Jadavpur University, it also depends on the branch you are targeting and your category.

• With 120+ marks, candidates can get under the rank range of around 400, through which candidates can get into top branches like CSE.
• The Cutoff can vary as per the higher scores which are needed in top branches like CSE, ECE and IT.

With a score of 100 marks in WBJEE, a candidate can get into a rank range of 2500–4000, which can vary as per the difficulty level of the exam and the number of candidates who appeared for the exam.

More than one lakh candidates await the WBJEE 2025 result. However, it has been delayed by many days due to the stay order issued by Calcutta High Court on the revised OBC reservation list. The stay order is effective till July 31. Calcutta HC is hearing a case when West Bengal government added 76 castes to OBC reservation without survey.

This year, WBJEE 2025 exam was conducted successfully on April 27, 2025. The exam was held in two shifts: Paper 1 (Mathematics) from 11AM to 1PM and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry) from 2PM to 4PM.

There are two types of rank in the WBJEE 2025 exam:
