WBJEE College Predictor 2025 is a free tool designed for students to know their admission chances at colleges in West Bengal based on their ranks. It covers the details of over 100 engineering and pharmacy colleges in West Bengal. Candidates can use their WBJEE 2025 ranks to get a list of the best colleges along with the courses offered, fees, and their WBJEE opening and closing ranks.

WBJEE 2025 result has been delayed due to an ongoing legal dispute over the OBC reservation in West Bengal. Calcutta HC has put a temporary hold on the state's revised OBC (A and B) reservation list. affecting roughly 17% of seats, until July 31, 2025.
Since WBJEE ranks include separate category-wise merit lists, the WBJEEB can’t publish results without clarity on the reservation policy.
A WBJEE rank of 4000 is considered a moderate score, especially for WB State domicile candidates. Though you may not get JU CSE/ECE, you can secure good branches in reputed private colleges or government colleges with slightly less competitive branches.
If you fall under SC/ST/OBC/PwD/TFW categories, WBJEE 4000 is a better category rank, improving your chances significantly due to reservation policies.
No, WBJEE 2025 result is not out yet. They are expected to be released any day in the last week of July 2025, especially after July 31, once the OBC-related legal stay is resolved. The result link will be available on the official website – wbjeeb.nic.in.

With a WBJEE 2025 General Merit Rank (GMR) of 5,000, getting admission to Jadavpur University (JU) with courses like B.E./B. Tech is difficult, especially for the more sought-after branches. The candidate needs to secure a rank range of approximately 2500 to get admission into Jadavpur University.
According to the WBJEE 2025 cutoff of the top engineering colleges in West Bengal, the most competitive being Jadavpur University, with CSE closing at rank 120, and ECE and IT closing around 600.

| ECE | 150 | 400 | |
| IT | 400 | 600 | |
| Institute of Engineering & Management (IEM), Kolkata | CSE | 6,000 | 9,000 |
| ECE | 10,000 | 13,000 | |
| Heritage Institute of Technology | CSE | 9,000 | 12,000 |
| IT | 9,000 | 12,000 | |
| Techno India, Salt Lake | CSE | 12,000 | 15,000 |

| Jalpaiguri Govt. Engineering College | ME | 3,000 | 6,000 |
WBJEE cutoff 2025 for all branches will depend on the candidate's preference, the difficulty level of the exam, and seat availability. Branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT have the maximum competition, whereas Mechanical and Civil usually have comparatively higher closing ranks.
- The General Category cutoff is expected to be below rank 120 in Jadavpur University CSE, with more than 130 marks in WBJEE 2025.
- For OBC Candidates, there can be a relaxation of 20-30% in the closing ranks of top universities. JU CSE will have a closing rank of 250.
- SC category cutoffs for top branches (CSE, ECE, EE) in JU are going to fall between 900–1800, whereas ST cutoffs will reach up to 2500–2700.
- Top private colleges, like IEM and Heritage, have CSE Closing Rank between 9000 to 12000, which makes 95–105 marks in WBJEE.
WBJEE cutoff 2025 will provide candidates admission into more than 116 participating universities across West Bengal, which offer undergraduate programs in engineering, pharmacy and architecture.
- For the General category candidates, Jadavpur University, which is the top college, offers the CSE Branch with the closing rank of around 120 and ECE around 400.
- The CSE/IT cutoff for mid-tier colleges like IEM Kolkata and Heritage Institute is expected to have a closing rank of between 6,000 and 12,000 for the general category, showing high demand for these courses.
- For the OBC Category, the cutoff at the Jadavpur University for CSE closes between 150 to 250, for ECE & IT it closes at 650 to 850. The Private colleges provide CSE/IT from 8,500 to 14,000.
