Which was your best experience in SGGSIE T Nanded?

My best experience at SGGSIE&T, Nanded, was definitely during the annual cultural fest, Utsav. It was such a vibrant event where students from different branches came together to showcase their talents, whether it was singing, dancing, or drama. The atmosphere was electric, and it allowed me to bond with my classmates outside the classroom.

I also enjoyed participating in the various competitions held during the fest, which made me feel more connected to the college community. Overall, it was a unique experience that I'll cherish forever.

The best experience for me was working on Red Drafter. I apologize in advance for the lengthy story.

Back in the second semester of 2014-15, our institute kicked off a documentary competition. The goal was to create a video that captures the institute's history and current vibe for future students. So, Satish, Akash, and I teamed up. We dove deep into research, discovering so much about our institute's humble beginnings and growth. There's a common misconception that being located in Nanded makes us backward, but we found that the SGGSIE&T culture is actually quite remarkable. Our students consistently excel academically, secure great jobs, ace exams, and succeed in civil services. This is our legacy.

Then began the writing phase. We spent endless hours at Sai, sipping tea every 15 minutes while I jotted down key points and notes. Satish would direct us on what scenes to shoot, while Akash threw in technical terms and editing ideas. We missed countless lectures and drank a ton of tea, but we were determined. This whole process lasted about two weeks, right before our end semester exams.

We managed to get a camera from a secret source. Satish and Akash had fun experimenting with it, checking focus, zoom, and stability. We recruited Abhiram and Utkarsha, the best anchors we knew, and even made them wear the same outfits for two days straight to keep one scene consistent. Recording the audio was a blast, and the hostel shenanigans were memorable.

Interviewing our Director was next, and Rushikesh was a huge help in securing permission. We had a great time interviewing him and were set for post-production. Satish and Akash put in over 12 hours a day for three days to get the footage and audio aligned.

Two days before the results, we uploaded our final version on YouTube, calling it Red Drafter Official Documentary. It went viral among alumni, and we loved the feedback. However, a mix-up occurred when the judges thought it was an official documentary of SGGSIE&T. There were some minor issues, and we had to take it down. Akash still has a screenshot from its last moment on YouTube. Surprisingly, we still tied for first place, possibly due to the confusion. We didn't mind much, and later re-edited and re-uploaded the video.

The lessons we learned were clear:

• Appreciate well-made movies.
• Avoid conflicts with institutional authorities.
• Be cautious about trusting everyone to keep their promises.

We came out wiser. Exams came and went. Satish aced them, while Akash and I faced some challenges, but it was all worth it. I even wrote a short film script afterward, though we couldn't finish filming due to time constraints.

This experience was my best at the institute because it helped me make lifelong friends, collaborate with my cousin Abhiram, and overcome writer's block. The re-edited link is here:

I always like to add a bit of philosophy even to fun stories, so here it is: We made this documentary to uplift our institute's image. Honestly, we had no idea we'd learn so much. The legacy of our institute's achievers kept us motivated. I believe students need to look beyond Nanded's size and engage more with the world. There's a lot of apathy and complaints about our institute, but remember, it’s only as good as its students. Our teachers have made their mark. How are you contributing back to SGGSIE&T?

One of my standout experiences at SGGSIE&T was during our tech fest, Pragyaa. As a student in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, I loved seeing the projects and innovations that my peers presented. It was inspiring to witness the creativity and technical skills on display.

Being part of such an event not only boosted my confidence but also gave me a clearer idea of what I could do in my career. The collaborative spirit and the knowledge-sharing environment made it a memorable occasion for me.

My first year at SGGS was quite an adventurous ride. Coming from a small town where everyone has a unique accent, I never expected such an exciting year. I thought I'd just focus on academics or tech stuff, but things took some unexpected turns.

  Helping organize this event was amazing. I learned so many valuable lessons, and the memories are something I'll always hold dear.
• Faroth v2.0
  This was a thrilling treasure hunt mixed with a murder mystery. We spent days crafting the story, often working with our laptops late into the night. Pulling off the event perfectly was tough, but we managed to do it. Although others in the team played bigger roles than I did, it was still a fantastic experience.
• Zenith18
  I volunteered for the smallest committee, even though I had offers for sponsorship and PRC roles. I wanted to dive into web development and met some incredible seniors who will always be important friends.

My best experience at SGGSIE&T has to be the internship opportunities I got during my course in Mechanical Engineering. I was lucky enough to secure an internship with a well-known company, which gave me hands-on experience in my field. The learning curve was steep, but the support from faculty was amazing. They helped me prepare for interviews and guided me through the application process.

This experience was pivotal in shaping my career direction and made me feel more equipped for the industry ahead.
