I would say that the best branch in SGGS Nanded is Information Technology. I picked this branch because of the immense career opportunities in the IT sector. The faculty is well-qualified, and they’re quite approachable. The curriculum includes many current technologies, which helps us stay updated. The placement rate is also good, with many companies visiting the campus, and I heard that the average package is around 4-5 LPA. Overall, it feels like a solid choice for anyone looking to enter the tech field.

Instrumentation Engineering

Reasons to choose it:

  • Almost everyone gets placed after graduation in recent years.
  • The department is equipped with various tools, including Yokogawa’s CENTUM VP, and there's a new EPASS lab from Emerson.
  • It is the oldest department at SGGS.
  • The faculty includes 8 PhD holders from different IITs, along with supportive staff.
  • The department feels like a close-knit family.
  • With a smaller class size of 40 students, you will have more opportunities for personal growth.

When I graduated in 2018, I noticed a few things about the best branches at SGGS Nanded. If you look at placements, Chemical Engineering and Instrumentation Engineering are the top choices. But if you're thinking about the number of opportunities, then CSE, EXTC, and IT stand out. Overall, the Computer Science and Engineering department offers some great courses. They've recently added Machine Learning to the final year, and they already have Artificial Neural Networks. Plus, Dr. U. V. Kulkarni, who heads the CSE department, is very experienced and has done a lot of research in Fuzzy Neural Networks. All these factors make CSE the top branch at SGGSIE&T Nanded.

For those looking at placements, Instrumentation Engineering might be your best bet. The main college leaders come from this department, which can be a plus. But if you're after deeper knowledge, consider choosing EXTC. This department is packed with experienced PhD holders and has a Center of Excellence in Signal Input and Output Processing. Welcome to SGGS!

I've had a great experience in the Mechanical Engineering branch at SGGS Nanded. The faculty is really supportive, and most of them are highly qualified, which is reflected in the quality of teaching. The curriculum is updated regularly, so we learn relevant skills for the industry. There are good internship opportunities too; I got one at a reputed company with a decent stipend. The placement percentage is about 50-60%, which is decent considering the competition.
