In my course, Computer Science and Engineering, the highest package offered this year is 52 LPA, while the average package is around 4 to 5 LPA. The placement scenario seems promising as many companies, including big names, are coming to our college. I’m planning to take full advantage of these opportunities when I reach my placement semester.
The top package at SGGS Nanded this year was from BASF, offering 7 LPA. Reliance Industries Limited provided a package of 7.5 LPA, but keep in mind it's 5.5 LPA with a 2 L bonus. Honeywell matched the package offered by RIL. TCS, a major recruiter, offers 3.5 LPA, which is also the package some startups offer. The average package at SGGS is around 4.5 LPA.
This year at SGGS Nanded, the highest package for B.Tech students is around 52 LPA, while the average package is between 3 to 4 LPA. These figures are quite encouraging for us Mechanical Engineering students, especially considering the strong placement record. Many companies visited our campus, and I feel optimistic about securing a good job soon.
For B.Tech in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, the highest package this year is 50 LPA, and the average package ranges from 5 to 6 LPA. The placements have been decent, with about 70-80% of students getting placed. I'm hopeful for my upcoming campus placement in my 7th semester, as many reputed companies are showing interest in hiring.
I graduated from the IT branch at SGGS in 2019. The placements here are okay, but not exceptional. Many students end up joining big companies like TCS, which offers a package of 3.36. The top package this year was about 7.5, given by TCS Digital to four students. Some startups offer salaries around 5, but most other companies provide packages near 3.5. So, the average salary comes to about 3.5.
While the average isn't super high, the placement rate for CS, IT, ENTC, and Instrumentation branches is pretty good. However, other departments don't see as many students getting placed.
