The faculty at DTU is approachable, though the curriculum could use some updates to better align with industry needs, similar to what students at Jadavpur University experience. Both colleges have decent placement rates, but DTU seems to have an edge with more companies visiting for recruitment. If you’re looking for a lively campus atmosphere and tech opportunities, DTU B.Tech Environmental Engineering might be the better fit, while if you're more inclined towards a solid technical foundation in Electrical Engineering, Jadavpur University could be the way to go.

If you're leaning towards the electronics field, then EE at DTU is the way to go. If coding excites you, CSE is a solid choice. However, there's a rapidly growing field in data science, AI, and ML, which offers numerous job opportunities and higher salaries. If you're interested in this area, consider CS. That said, even if you choose EE, you can still become a data scientist.

So, here's the bottom line: whatever you decide, make sure you're serious about CODING and MATH (Statistics). In terms of brand and placement, DTU has the edge. The choice is yours!

• Faculty Quality: Electrical Engineering has a very strong faculty. IT also has good faculty, but the number of teachers is significantly lower compared to Electrical or CSE.

Ultimately, the choice of branch should be based on your passion. I love programming, which is why I chose IT over Electrical Engineering.
