DTU B.Tech in Electrical Engineering has a fantastic placement record with 96% of students getting placed last year, including major companies like Google and Microsoft, while Jadavpur University's BE in Computer Science saw around 80% placements, with internships offering impressive stipends, but the data is still emerging. In terms of faculty, both colleges boast qualified professors; however, DTU seems to have a more rigorous exam structure, which might better prepare students for industry challenges. Campus life is vibrant in both, with DTU's Engifest and Jadavpur's Invictus providing great experiences. I would personally lean towards DTU for its stronger placement statistics and overall campus culture, but if you're leaning more towards computer science and plan for higher studies, Jadavpur could be a better fit.

DTU B.Tech in Electrical Engineering offers a strong placement record with 96% students placed last year, including opportunities from top companies like Google and Microsoft, which translates to a good ROI despite higher fees. In contrast, Jadavpur University's BE in Computer Science and Engineering has a lower placement percentage, around 80%, but with a variety of internships available and a favorable fee hike policy that might ease financial pressure.

While DTU seems to provide better immediate job prospects, Jadavpur might be a smarter financial choice if you're considering long-term costs and scholarship options. Ultimately, if you're aiming for high-paying tech jobs right after graduation, DTU is the way to go, but if you're looking for a balance between cost and a solid education with potential for scholarships, Jadavpur could work better for you.

I don't have detailed info on the placement scenario at DTU. However, at Jadavpur University (JU), the overall placement for Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is extremely impressive.

  • Average package for CSE is over 20 LPA.
  • In recent batches, the highest package has reached 39 LPA.
  • Overall, placements are doing really well!

So, JU CSE definitely stands out in terms of placement statistics!

In terms of placements, DTU's B.Tech in Electrical Engineering seems to have an edge with a whopping 96% placement rate and high packages, like 1.83 crores from companies like Google and Microsoft, starting from the 5th semester. Jadavpur University's BE in Computer Science and Engineering also has solid internship opportunities and decent placement stats with 80% last year, but it’s still unclear how the 2026 batch will perform as the data isn’t fully out yet. Both colleges have strong faculty and campus life, but if immediate job prospects and higher packages are your priority, DTU might be the better choice. However, if you’re leaning towards a more laid-back approach with plans for a master's, Jadavpur could be a good fit.
