Should I go for B.Tech Software Engineering in DTU or B.Tech Computer Science Engineering in IGDTUW?

I've looked into both DTU and IGDTUW, and honestly, DTU seems to have an edge in campus life and opportunities. The vibrant fest culture at DTU, with events happening almost monthly, really enhances the overall student experience, while IGDTUW also offers a solid curriculum but might not match the same level of excitement. DTU's curriculum is up-to-date with the NEP, which is a plus, and the internship opportunities start from the first year, giving you a head start. In terms of placements, both colleges have their strengths, but DTU appears to provide slightly better support, especially for students willing to hustle. If you're looking for a dynamic campus life and more internship opportunities early on, go for B.Tech Software Engineering in DTU. However, if you prefer a more focused academic experience, B.Tech Computer Science Engineering in IGDTUW would still be a great choice.

If you are a guy, you can't get admission in IGDTUW, so DTU is your option.

If you are a girl, you can consider both colleges. DTU has a strong reputation and offers better exposure, while IGDTUW provides good opportunities with less competition.

Generally, at DTU, guys are extremely knowledgeable and excellent coders, so you need to be really good to stand out. In software engineering, you’ll be competing against at least 160–250 students from computer science and IT branches for interview shortlists.

On the flip side, competition at IGDTUW is lower (around 80–150 students), and there are still various good opportunities. Companies like Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe, Intuit, Walmart, and Goldman Sachs visit every year. So, think it over! :P

However, if you start building your resume early and work hard, you won’t face many difficulties at DTU either. So, you can choose DTU, but be focused from the very beginning!
