I would lean towards Delhi Technological University (DTU) for B.Tech Chemical Engineering over MNIT Jaipur for B.Tech Electrical Engineering. DTU boasts a strong faculty with a great student-to-faculty ratio and offers a relaxed curriculum that allows time for extracurriculars like programming, making it ideal for a well-rounded student experience. Plus, the internship opportunities are impressive, with top companies offering stipends that can reach 70k, and their placement scene is robust, featuring high packages. While MNIT Jaipur is also a reputable institution, the vibrant campus life and supportive environment at DTU, coupled with better placement statistics, make it a standout choice for those who want a mix of academics and personal growth. If you're more inclined towards core engineering roles and a lively campus, DTU is the way to go.

Definitely go for B.Tech Chemical Engineering at NIT Jaipur! While DTU has more placements, it's not necessarily because it's better than NIT Jaipur. The difference is mainly due to the total student strength—DTU has about 3 to 4 times the number of students compared to NIT Jaipur.

Here’s the breakdown:

  • Companies that visit DTU also come to NIT Jaipur.
  • NIT Jaipur has around 100 students in a branch, while DTU has about 360.
  • Chemical Engineering at NIT Jaipur is stronger. In the placement session of 2016–17, almost 70 out of 95 students got placed!

So, don’t just follow the crowd! Choose a good crowd!

I’ve looked into both DTU for B.Tech in Chemical Engineering and MNIT Jaipur for B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, and honestly, DTU seems to have a slight edge when it comes to placements and internships. DTU’s collaboration with top companies like Microsoft and Google leads to impressive internship stipends of 60-70k and a high average placement package above 16 lakhs, with the highest reaching 1.8 Cr in 2025. While MNIT Jaipur also offers a solid education, the opportunities at DTU are more robust, especially for those eyeing high-paying tech jobs.

If you’re particularly keen on a tech-based career and want the best shot at placements, go for DTU; however, if you have a strong preference for electrical engineering and are okay with potentially lower placement stats, MNIT Jaipur could still be a good fit.
