Which one should I opt for MNNIT Allahabad B.Tech Chemical Engineering or NIT Warangal B.Tech Electronics & Communication Engineering

Placement:

• NIT Warangal: Boasts an impressive placement record with over 85% placement rates for ECE. Average packages are typically higher, around 7-9 lakhs per annum, with top packages exceeding 40 lakhs.
• MNNIT: Offers good placement with around 75-80% placement rates for ECE. Average packages are lower compared to NIT Warangal, averaging around 5-7 lakhs per annum. However, MNNIT has the highest average package among all NITs for CSE, indicating strong career prospects in related fields.

Infrastructure:

• NIT Warangal: Features a sprawling campus with well-maintained facilities, including modern labs, libraries, and hostels. Some student reviews mention limitations in hostel capacity and amenities.

I had the same dilemma last year while applying for counseling through JoSAA. Here are the key points to consider:

• Placement: ECE generally has better placement opportunities compared to Chemical Engineering.
• College Reputation: NIT Warangal is a tier-1 college, comparable to IITs, while MNNIT Allahabad is not at the same level.

So, it really comes down to whether you prioritize the branch or the college. Personally, I would recommend giving preference to the college.

For example, some students choose IIT Bombay for a Chemical branch even when they have offers from other IITs in IT fields.

If you’re considering Mechanical Engineering, there’s a good chance you could switch to Electrical and Electronics later. Choose wisely!

Considering the current scenario, your top choice should be CSE at MNNIT Allahabad. It's one of the older NITs and holds a strong reputation across India. Next in line is NIT Warangal ECE. While it's among the top 3 NITs, since you're getting CSE at another esteemed NIT, it should take precedence over NIT Warangal ECE.

The last option would be JU EE. Although JU is recognized as one of the top colleges in India, its reputation largely stems from its excellent CSE department. Other departments are also commendable, but CSE at a highly ranked NIT offers better placement opportunities and future prospects overall.
