IIT Delhi for Civil Engineering and IIT Bombay for Electrical Engineering both have their strengths, but when it comes to fees and ROI, IIT Bombay may offer better financial value. IIT Delhi's estimated cost is around 4-5 lakh for those exempt from tuition, while IIT Bombay likely has higher fees, especially for non-reserved category students. Placement opportunities at IIT Bombay seem more lucrative, especially with tech giants consistently recruiting, making it a better bet for a higher salary post-graduation. If you're passionate about Civil Engineering and want a slightly lower financial burden, go for IIT Delhi; however, if you're leaning towards higher earning potential in Electrical Engineering, IIT Bombay is the smarter financial choice.

I personally think IIT Bombay for B.Tech Electrical Engineering might edge out IIT Delhi for Civil Engineering when it comes to overall student experience and campus life. IIT Bombay’s vibrant campus culture, with its active student societies and fests, seems more engaging compared to IIT Delhi's offerings. While both colleges boast highly qualified faculty and rigorous curricula, IIT Bombay's emphasis on self-learning and industry connections through internships appears stronger, especially given the tech-driven job market. If you're passionate about Civil Engineering, IIT Delhi is still a solid choice, but if you're leaning towards a dynamic environment and better placement opportunities in tech, go for IIT Bombay.

Electrical (Power) at IIT Delhi is a fantastic choice! It’s an engaging branch with great people. From a job perspective, Electrical is definitely a stronger option than Civil. However, if you find Civil truly fascinating and want to pursue it, then go for it!

Also, if you’re considering civil services in the future, Civil Engineering might be the better route since it can be less demanding compared to Electrical, giving you more time for preparation.

But if I were in your shoes, I would choose Electrical (Power) at IIT Delhi.

Absolutely, Electrical (Power) at IIT Delhi is a better choice than Civil at IIT Bombay.

PS: I'm a final year EE(P) student at IIT Delhi.

In my opinion, go for IIT Delhi's Electrical Engineering (Power) if your long-term goal is a solid job. Contrary to popular belief, there isn't a boom in Civil Engineering right now.

However, keep in mind that EE(P) is a very challenging branch!
