Reviewing Kamala Nehru College of Delhi University.

Kamala Nehru college is an excellent college. And I'm lucky to be able to be connected with it through my Masters as well. It definitely hones a student's skills. It provides a platform for young women to become empowered in whichever field they choose.

Delhi University comprises of a wide curriculum and literature opened for me new areas of studies. It included English literature written and translated from various parts of the world. The exam structure was was based on CBCS system wherein it had six semesters in the course of three years for graduation.

Yes, the college has its Placement cell which aims at providing students with professional opportunities. It organizes workshops and events for the students. They also invite educational speakers and counsellors to guide students for higher studies.

Various events are conducted in the college by the societies that allows students to take part in debates, arts, music, public speaking, dance, sports etc. There's a Photography society too which organizes competition for the students. Then there is Dramatic Society named LAKSHYA which is renowned for its excellent street and stage plays. There are various dance societies both Indian ( Nupur) and Western ( Enigma) that organizes competitions and takes part in inter college competitions. Kamala Nehru college also organizes fest every year named ULLAS which is an amazing festival to be in.

The fee structure is very feasible. All the undergraduate courses have fees range of 10k to 11k. And the MA fees structure this year was around 11k. A meritorious student can easily take the advantages the University provide.

The college offers various scholarships and prizes to its students. Like the Best all rounder or the year. And for economically backward students it has scholarships with some criteria. Various subjects have also started to offer their own scholarships and prizes that a student gets at the end of her course.

It has a three storeyed library. Xeroxing facilities. There are separate laboratories for Psychology, Geography etc. It has a gymnasium for the students. An air conditioned and a huge auditorium. There are two computer labs.

The college provides no hostel facilities. However, there are paying guests around the place ranging from 8k to 15k. Depending on a students comfort a student can pick her choice of a paying guest. The location of the college is in South Delhi, a very safe place for girls.

Yes, everyone in the college is very helpful. You need to simply look for the right sources. Kamala Nehru college is full of girls willing to help each other. And it is the most safest place anyone can be.

As my college falls under Delhi University, so the students are to fill before hand an admission form online. This is compulsory for all the candidates. A student has to fall under the cut off criteria of a given college to take his/ her admission. I got selected in the First cut of list of Kamala Nehru college. And the next step was to report the college with all the documents required. The documents required for verification will be mentioned online and it is required for a candidate to get his/ her documents verified in the given time period. Once my documents were verified, I was asked to submit them to the college. The last step is to pay the fees online within a day or two.

Kamala Nehru college has an excellent faculty and it proudly stands in the top ten colleges in India for Humanities. It comprises of dedicated faculty who are always willing to assist you in every way possible.
