Remarks

Ragam is our Cultural fest (One of the best in India) and Tatva is our technical fest(Best in South India) and both are our pride and feel.But 80% faculties are against this type extra curricular activities

Course Curriculum Overview

Compared to other engineering colleges NIT syllabus are very tough and for exam patterns you have to expect almost JEE advance level questions(some questions are okay) If you have 100% attendance in class (Almost not possible to make 90%) you will definitely get good score(Note the point:You must be attentive in the class).

Placement Experience

Since our NIT is one of the best engineering college in India lots of companies are coming(Both private and public)Last year highest package was 56 lacks per annual But one minute almost every companies are software companies and definitely they will recruit first from computer science department and after that they will recruit from other department mostly from ECE like waste water.and definitely if your cgpa is below 6.5 you even can't sit in the placement.

College Events

Ragam-Our cultural fest and Tatva our technical fest(Just check in you tube and definitely get the feel that i am missing now ) Other than that so much clubs are there and each club have it's own week like Dnd club Dnd week adventure club have adventure week. Definitely Onam celebration Diwali celebration. the list is huge.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Now the fees are according to your income and that is great and that are feasible.If your annual income is less than 1.5 Lacks you will not need to pay any money for semester and between 1.5 and 6 lacks some money like 25000 per semester but income more than 600000 means you have to pay some what huge money.

Fees and Financial Aid

MCMS scholarship provided by central government for those who having less income and E grants scholarship provided by State government of kerala.Near college SBI branch is there and you will definitely get loan from there.

Campus Life

every sports active sports in India are available there like football,cricket,Hockey,Kabaddi, badminton, Tennis. And so many clubs are there like adventure club, Maths club,Litrature and Debate club,Dance club, and we can say Extracurricular activities at its peak

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are okay.But from first year to third year you will have to sleep in a room that can occupies less than that.But okay because hostel life are the memorable things only in NIT calicut. I will say one of the best you will get from your entire life

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

Alumini is providing big fund for the development of college and of course we are not getting the the details of that.And seniors was the one enjoyment part of of college they lead us for everything

Admission

Through JEE Main exam i have got 15000 rank and due to home quota i have got admission in NIT Calicut in ECE branch.I went to entrance coaching in Brilliant institute Pala for getting a good rank in JEE main for one year after the completion of my higher secondary.

Faculty

I will start from my Faculty adviser (one of the worst i have ever seen in my life) if you are a average person in academic then you are getting that type of faculty then your college life will be some what hell(60% faculties are like that only).They think like king and we have obey everything even the case is wrong also.But that 40 % faculties can decide your future and sure for us (average in academics) they have a place in our heart

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Is engineering here worth it?

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

I chose this college because of strong reputation , good placements and quality of education. I applied to other NITs and state engineering colleges and received some admissions,but selected this college because I preffered Electrical Engineering. Details Of NITC

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
