IIT KGP- Peace hai!

I love my college and I feel without being a part of it. It was one of the best decision choose this college It provided me overall personality development with various other skills required by industry right now.

The course is very informative and unique in India, because it's offered only at few colleges, the scope of this course is very useful for Petroleum, Oil industries. There are two major exams Mid-Semester exam and End-Semester exam, with 1/2 class tests in 1 semester for each subject. There are 2 semesters in one year.

The placement and internships provided here are the best part of IIT Kharagpur, we have a dedicated team for that and They work upon each yr to bring more and more companies each yr. The placement package varies from 6lacs to 40-50 lacs p.a. On an average the package is 13-14lacs. Also our college provide Summer Project under our Esteemed professors. You have to contact them through mail along with your Cv and academic qualifications. Based on that, if the professor's seems you to be good for that project. He might give you.

Various events are celebrated- Three are the main 1.INTER IIT (helds each yr at different IIT) 2. Spring Fest- the Social and cultural fest of the IIT Kharagpur which is famous in whole Country. Various celebrities have come to our spring fest to do performance known as Pro-Nights 3. Kshitij- Technology Fest held by IIT Kharagpur in which students from various colleges take participation in various competitions and get achievements and awards

Fee structure is based upon Your category and Family income. If you are under General category and family income is Greater than 5lac p.a. then per semester approx rs 1lac 40k. If under 5 lac but greater than 2 lac then 70k if under 2 lac 20k For OBC and SC/ST category the fees are much less. Even for income greater than 5 lac there per semester fees is 70k while under 5 lac 28-30k approx.

MCM scholarship if you are good at studies (basically you have to maintain CGPA above 8.0) around 20k per year is received using this scholarship. INSPIRE scholarship if you are doing an Integrated M.Sc. course(Except for Economics department) in which you shouldn't have any backlog in any subject and a CGPA above 6.0. This scholarship provides 60k per year to the students enrolled in it. There are also various other state scholarships which can be availed by the college. Remember at a time you can only apply for one scholarship.

Neem about any extra curricular activity and it will be here in our campus. Be it cricket volleyball or any other sports or music dramatic dance paint food cooking for each of them a dedicated society or a cell is build. Also and entrepreneurship cell and business cell is there. So need to find what interests you and you will find it here.

Hostel is provided by the institute. It will be situated with in the campus. mostly all of the hostels have badminton court, football field, volleyball court, cricket field and a mess where we can eat food. The amenities are free and Mess services are included in the fees itself. Some of the halls also have Gymnasium. And a canteen to put out your Hunger. There are also some General stores and juice shops too to provide necessary (grocery) items.

The best part of article senior network and the network with the Alums. They all may be very helpful for the future part of our life. Maintaining a good connection is must. They can provide internships or placements in the company they are working.

First we have to clear JEE Mains in order to sit for JEE Advanced then you have to bring a rank within 7500 AIR (for general category) in order to get admission in one of the IIT's. Based on your rank you will do counseling for 7 rounds and fill out your choices in order, the branch of study along with the college will be decided based on lower the rank, better the college

Very Knowledgeable and Intelligent, the professor's here are Little boring (exceptions are there) but they have a nice way of solving questions and have a great skill set. They are friendly but it varies from prof to prof. In terms of academic excellence they are the best you can ever see.
