Collage managment is fine. And the course structure is best. The labs are well maintained. And you will gain practical knowledge with bookish knowledge.
Entrance Preview
Entrance- IIT JEE, score 250, I have chosen collage as IITs are best in country and course I didn't choose the course it was alloted as per the rank. At that time i have a choice for a better branch in it bhu but I have chosen iit.
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum and faculty are best as per syllabus of various competitive exams like IES and here curriculum you will learn hard work and how to manage your time during pressure as in our college mid term exams are held completed in three days and if your luck is not good you even have to give 3 exams on a single day.
Internships Opportunities
My internship was not from the college and no stipend was offered to me from the company. But the internship experience was fine. I have implemented what I have learned in my college.
Placement Experience
Placement and job opportunities are fine. A lot of companies visit this college and if you are from computer science you will be placed in the first week. Also, a lot of students are offered PPO. I was also placed in Action tesa from college.
College Events
Cognizance technical fest of IIT Roorkee is largest among all iits. Thomso cultural festivals. A lot of students from nearby colleges visit IIT to be a part of this fest. Apart from the major fest, we have Sristi, jashan, Dhun a lot of fest at the college level too.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is as per govt. rules. You cant question that. During our time it was about 40000 per sem but now it had increased. But you are offered various scholarships.
Fees and Financial Aid
MCM- given to top 25% rank holder in every branch. You will be given a tution fee of 30000. Another is the sc/st free messing scholarship is given to all the sc/st students.
Campus Life
Gender ration harsh. It's hard to find a girl. Hostel parties just awesome you cant find better friends than your hostlers. There are various groups and a lot of chapo happen in them.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities just awesome and even best among all the IITs. You are given a single room from the 2nd yr and a LAN connection with no restrictions. The mess is quite bad. Food is not tasty but it is healthy.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumini network is fine. You will find a lot of startups opened by our alumina and its quite natural affinity for the same college people is more. So it's also normal here.
Exam Structure
The exam structure is quite rough. But it will teach you how to manage you time during pressure situations. You will be forced to give u exams in three 3 days. And if your luck is not good then you have to give even 3 exams on a single day.
