Our college has many positives and negative. But my college is best in india. It is ranked 28 by nirf. It is also ranked in world ranking also. The placement even beat many iit. That is reason why I love my college.
Course Curriculum Overview
My career in nit calicut started just 3 months back. My production engineering is not a good branch as compared to cs but my college is top most so I am very happy. Course curriculum is a bit tough in nit calicut. Grading system is also very tough. Getting 8 cgpa is considered as distinction.
Placement Experience
I don't have any experience in intenship because I am from 1st year. But according to previous record our campus highest package is 50 lacks. The average package is also very good. Intenships are also provided to many people but more cs students get it
College Events
Our campus have mainly 2 mega fun events that are ragam and thathva. Ragam is cultural festival. Thathva is a techno management fest. Thatva is indias 2nd largest techno management fest after iit bombay
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees structure is okk. It is feasible. As it is a central government control led college. Fee structure is cheap and every thing is cheap than any private college in India. There are many scholarships in campus also.
Fees and Financial Aid
The sbi bank provide many bank loans to students in campus itself. The Kerala state government also provide many scholarships to Keralities. But other state students also get many national scholarships.
Campus Life
Our campus have very good buildings. The labs are well maintained. We have many grounds and indoor games also. We are allowed in play in any games and we also have inter nit sportsmeet. So we will we trained to play there.
Alumni/Alumna
Our campus is established in 1950's.so we have a great alumni network. They also come to our campus for alumni talks in August or September. Seniors here are a bit naughty. They do ragging to certain extent.
Admission
I had took jee coaching in narayana academy for 2 years in inter then I attempted jee mains and jee advanced. Luckily I qualified both xams and using jee mains rank I got a seat in nit calicut. I got production branch unfortunately. I am happy with what I got. My nit is top 5 nits in India. So my parents also agreed to come to nit calicut
Faculty
Our faculty in nit calicut are outstanding. They are very energetic. They r very young and from different parts of country. Many of them did their phd from iit iisc or from foreign universities. They r very patient.
