Our college is very good. I would definitely recommend this Collge to teh individuals who wish to make their College in merchant navy. It is best government college in merchant navy which offer b.tech marine engineering course

The course curriculum is great. We are given technical and practical knowledge. There are semester exams conducted after the end of the semester. 2 internal tests are held before the semester exams.

The placement in our college is 60-70% every year. Motly we hear from our seniors that- "all clear raho placement ho jayega ". Placement scenario is good as compared to other maritime colleges. No our college doesn't provide internships.

Many events are celebrated in our college from time to time which includes international maritime day, independence Day, Republic Day, imu foundation day, college day ,pre passing out parade, etc and many more. In addition to this every year tempest is also organised.

Fees here is 2.25 lakhs per year. B.tech marine engineering is a four year course so we have to pay 9 lakhs. The fees is quite feasible as compared to other institutions. The College also provides loan facility for the individuals who can't afford to pay the college fees.

The college provides performance based rewards to teh students based on their academic performance. It can be cash rewards or other rewards that the administration wishes they give to the students. It is given every semester.

The main motto of our college is the overall development of its students so it provides ample opportunities for sports like football , basketball ,hockey, cricket, volleyball,etc. Our college also has a very big swimming pool. Different labs are there in our college depending on the department's.

The hostel infrastructure is good here. There are separate hostels for 1st year, 2nd year, 3rd year and fourth year. The mess food is also good here. It includes all the vital nutrients essential for an individual.

Our college has a huge alumni network. It is intact the first marine College in Asia opened in 1952 by then prime minister. The alumni and our seniors are very helpful and they provide full support to our college students in case they need any support.

I had to give an entrance exam called as imu CET. After that results came and my name was on the merit list so I had to pay the councilling fees are online and I was then called for the councilling. After that I got the admission in this college.

The faculty of our college is fabulous. They are mostly ex Seafarers and the visiting faculty also comes from colleges like IIT Kharagpur, jadhavpur university, etc. Overall the faculty is good.The faculty is very helpful and they provide proper guidance.
