IMU Kolkata Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

The placement scenario of my college is very great around 95% student get placed every year. This is the only government which offer such type of placement. You do not have to worry about the placements but remember you have to work hard for the same.

After completion of first semester campaines came to recruit cadets. Most of the companies recruit after sixth semester. Name of companies visit IMU kolkata are WSM. Synergy. Anglo eastern. Pacific basin. Chevron. Almost everyone in the batch gets placement before completion of their respective degree.

The placement record of the college is impressive with almost 95% of the cadets getting placed in good companies and the placement start from the earliest of the 5th semester and the lady cadet at yhe 3rd semester

Placement ratio of the college is very good, cadets start getting placements from 2nd year but majorly the mass placement process starts from 3rd year. The packages ranges from 400-1200 USD as an engine cadet. There are major companies such as CHEVRON, MSC, DYNAGAS, NYK, FLEET MANAGEMENT, PACIFIC BASIN, MOL, IOCL, ZODIAC MARITIME, TORM TANKERS, etc that visit the college for placements every year. For every batch the placement ratio is above 95%. This college is known for its placements and alumni network

The placement is very good in my campus in my time whole batch was placed and not even my batch my seniors batch was placed too. I got a placement in one of the best company Dynacom tankers ltd. There are several best companies have visited in our campus like chevron , NYK , WSM , Chell, pacific basin , Fleet , Msc , Dynagas, Dynacom etc. The highest package is 1 20000 lakh rupees per month and average package is around 40000 per month you can assume the year package from these salaries. After getting the degree I joined my company and sailing.

In my college the college administration give the assurance to give all the cadets assured placement. So many companies visits the campus for recruitment and take in mass recruitment from the college campus. The percentage of students got placed is very much familiar and high in the campus. As most of them from one batch got placed till their 4th year and before completion of btech degree , therefore the placement ratio is known to be very good at college campus. My planes after completing of the degree is to sail to mostly 5 years

Female students are eligible for placements from first semester and all the female students get placed by the end of second semester. All the other students become eligible for placements from the beginning of third semester. Recruting companies who visit the campus are: PRIVATE COMPANIES:- Chevron Dyana gas Tom Tankers Fleet management limited Mediterranean shiping companies Nippon Yusen Kabushaki Kaishi Pacific Basin Synergy Group Scorpio British Marine Laurel Shipping and Co Mitsui OSK line shell GOVERMENT:- Oil and natural gas corporation Indian Oil Corporation limited 100% placement guaranteed Salary starts from $350-$800/month(Rs 30,000- Rs 67,000/month) and goes upto $21000-$23000/month(Around 18 lakh/month)

The placement of the college is really good and almost 90% students get placed till final year. There are several companies which visit the campus for placement they are NYK Shipping, MSC, Dynagas, etc. The average package is 500 dollars per month and the highest package is 1500 dollars per month. Almost 90% students get placed in this course from this college. My plans is to get placed in a good company and continue my job.

Campus placements usually begin from the 5th semester of 3rd year. Most cadets usually get placed. Only 7 cadets out of 238 in the 2022 passing batch are unplaced. They are either having arrears or are going to pursue a higher degree

From third semester, students is eligible for campus placement. Mol ship, nyk , msc , fleet management, Dyna gas, Indian oil, and etc comes in our college for placement.each of the company takes good number of students. The highest package of the college is 144000 dollars in annual and the lowest average package is 40000 dollars. My plans is to continue my sailing after completing my degree.
