The college doesn't provide good placements. Hardly one or two companies visit the campus and only a few students are qualified. These companies don't offer good salary packages and students who got placed left their job after working for 6 months or 1 year because they think they are not being paid fairly and work for extra hours. One of the main reasons that companies don't come to this college is students are either not interested in engineering jobs or they are not well qualified.

Competitions of Techfest, IIT Bombay, covers various genres under this segment like Competitive Coding under International Coding Challenge, Aerospace under OpRahat (drone competition) and Boeing Aeromodelling Competition, Aquatics under Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Challenge (AUV), RC Nitro Buggy Car under International Full Throttle, Robotics under Robowars and International Robotics Challenge, Gaming under E-sports, Structural Engineering under Crane-o-Mania and the list continues. Competitions have been instrumental in encouraging students to work in the technical field.

One feels the fee structure is a bit high. But it's quite reasonable as compared to the other B-school. The only good thing is that IIBS has good placement assistance. IIBS has a good ROI. My overall expenditure was around 6 lakhs.

The rate of scholarship towards tuition fee for General Degree courses is Rs.30,000 per annum, for Engineering course Rs.1.25 lakh per annum, and for Medical studies Rs.3.0 lakh per annum. Students pursuing courses, such as Diploma Courses, do not lead to the award of a Degree.
