About NIT Patna

The college is very good up to the standard of like other NIT. You will feel like you are in a well-functioned college. However, its infrastructure is not like typical gold digger private engineering colleges.

The placement of the college is very good. 90% of the eligible students get placed with an average package of 6.5 lacs per annum. The eligibility criteria for placement is 6cgpa. Last year the highest package offered to the college was 41 lacs from adobe. Companies like Samsung, Nokia, Amazon, Saber, shazar, deollite, logic fruit, Ericsson,l&t, tata projects,afcons,thermax,vedanta, tata motors, analytic quotient, Capgemini etc. visit the college.

There are various cultural and technical events celebrated in the college. Corona and melange are techfest in January every year. In February there is a sports festival. Within the whole span of a year, various events are being carried out during college.

It's feasible as it is a college under MHRD, so fee structures are very affordable. There are various scholarships etc. available too. Also, concession fee is given according to your family background. A loan facility is also available.

A complete fee waiver is applicable for Sc/St students and one whose family income is below 1 lac per annum. If your family income is below 5 lacs per annum then 2/3 of the fee is is given as concession and you only have to pay 1/3 of it. Scholarship and loan is also available for laptops etc nad studies based on your performance.

There is a well-equipped ac centralized lab for every department and it is accessible 24*7. Various high-tech and expensive instruments are also available in the lab with a dedicated assistant in every lab. There are various clubs in the college for extracurricular activities and there is also a gym, tennis courts, cricket ground, football ground, volleyball court, table tennis, etc in the college.

The hostel facility is too good. In fact, it has the biggest hostel among all the Nits. It is a g+10 floor building with 560 rooms and 1120 beds. High-speed internet, water purifier, clean and hygiene mess. every facility is provided to the students.

Yeah. senior students are very helpful. They guide juniors at each and every stage and also there is no culture of ragging etc in this college. They treat you in a friendly manner. The Alumni network is also very good.

I got admission through the entrance exam i.e JEE Mains which was conducted in April 4 2016.After JEE exam, admission process was conducted by JOSSA. You will get admission here if you JEE Mains rank is below 25000 in general earlier Jee ranks was based on cumulative sum of jee mains marks and class 12 percentile but now the only weightage is on jee mains marks. You have to score atleast 60% in 12 as a cut-off.

The faculty of the college are highly professional and most of them are from well-recognized IIT and even from the recognized foreign institute. They are very active in the research process and they are very supportive.
