The campus is lush green and very beautiful and the cleanliness is worth praising. But the teaching methodology must be changed from book-oriented to practical and research-oriented in order to make the most out of the creative minds of the students.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is quite good and the exams are based on the semester pattern. We have 8 semesters I'm total of 4 years and the exam pattern is objective as well as practical based. Some quizzes are also taken frequently.
Placement Experience
The average package is quite high and almost all students are placed at a good package. Yes, an internship is provided by the college and many other foreign companies come here for the recruitment of their employees.
College Events
Thomso, IIT Roorkee is a very big cultural event with a crowd of almost 40000 in number, Cogbizance IIT Roorkee is also one of the biggest fests in the country, Sangram IIT Roorkee, is a very big sports competition held over here.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is quite manageable but since it is a government institution hence reservation is there for different categories. Some Candidates have to pay a complete fee while others have reduced fees due to different categories.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, the college offers thomson scholarship for those who have their ranks under 300, and an education loan facility at different banks is also available here to help poor students. Banks like Punjab National Bank offer scholarships.
Campus Life
Extracurricular activities like Dance, music, singing, big cultural events, workshops, photography, literary magazine writing, etc are there. Well developed computer laboratories and other laboratories are there.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni networks are quite strong as a separate Institute alumni relations cell is there which conducts the event Raionzo to invite different alumni who are at leading posts and seniors are very helpful. The campus is ragging free.
Admission
I gave the entrance exam Jee Advanced 2019 after preparing for 2 years and as per the result, I got sufficient marks and rank to get admission in this prestigious college which stands at a very high ranking in the country.
Faculty
The professors are quite knowledgeable but most of the study is to be done by is ourselves without depending upon any professor from the referred books of different authors. The faculties need to change their teaching and practical style to quite an efficient one.
