Remarks

Positive things about my college is that we don't have to suffer for attendance all the time, we have less fee than others. Negative things about my college is my whole college, the teachers, canteen, non teaching staff and others.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course of the Delhi University's hons. Courses is good. They have various novels, of various writers, both from greek mythology and hindu mythology, books from every period of age. There are 2 exams, internal and external, and an assignment, plus there are numbers given for attendance, so it is like this way - attendance have 5 numbers, assignment have 10 , internal have 10 and external have 75 numbers.

Placement Experience

0.5

No, my college don't provide internship plus their isn't any placement cell in my college, means their is a placement cell which have it's own society and stuff, but it is never working. It is always shut off. But there are many societies working on like music, drama, environment etc.

College Events

2

There are many events in my college, like firstly there is a department freshers, means the department in which you are in celebrates a freshers for you, in which only your departments students are allowed, then a union fresher in which whole college is allowed, then Diwali melas are going on every year around Diwali, then their are fests in January that are quite fun to go to.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees of Delhi University isn't expensive, it is actually quite cheap. Fees of my first year was 7000, and that of second year was 5000, I'm currently in second year so I don't know about third year.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, there isn't any scholarship or loan facility available by my college.

Campus Life

1.5

My college is good in sports, there are various sports in my college, there is cricket,kho-kho, badminton kabaddi etc, the kabaddi team of my college is quite strong, they've won the inter college last year.

Alumni/Alumna

We don't even know who the alumni is, our teachers never told us this. And senior students are just like us, even they don't know what is going on. Looks like every student is on the same page. No one is helpful here.

Admission

Firstly you should fill the registration form that is uploaded on the delhi University site, then you have to wait for the colleges to upload the cutoffs, if any of the college cutoff matches your percentage then you've to print an acknowledgement slip and you've to go to the college for your admission procedure that requires waiting in lines.

Faculty

2.5

Faculty of my college is not that good, it should be more serious towards the college, many teachers don't even come, the infrastructure of the college is bad and old, canteen have very bad food. Non teaching or cleaning staff should do more of their jobs.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
