It's a good campus, the canteen is big, you'll make friends across departments that aren't yours. It has great connectivity to the JLN Metro Station which is virtually next to the college gate.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is relevant, interesting, insightful and inclusive of most of what there is to know about that particular subject. It may lean towards certain political ideologies more than others but in the case of BA (H) English, it isn't much of an option.

The college placement cell holds frequent recruitment drives, in which they invite many corporates, organizations and other companies to visit the campus and recruit candidates on the basis of interviews and assessments that they conduct. Companies usually mention beforehand the course and year that they wish to hire from.

Events celebrated in college usually include college fests, department fests, college fresher celebrations and department fresher parties that are usually not conducted on the college campus. More events include talks and debates conducted by ECA societies of the college.

The gender ratio at Dyal Singh College is quite balanced. There is no obvious majority of students belonging to one gender across the college. However, you may find a disparity in the gender ratio of withing courses. This varies from department to department.

Yes. Most seniors are very friendly and helpful when it comes to advising and cautions. There is almost no ragging on campus. However, this is not something that isn't variable. This kind of stuff cannot be forecast or predicted.
Admission
We have to do some homework prior to visiting the campus in order to ensure whether we are eligible for admission or not. We need to keep track of the timely releases of cut off lists for the course that we seek to secure admission in. In my case, I made in through the third cut off list. How we match our score with the cut off list may vary depending on the course.
Faculty
The teachers are quite learned, well informed, accustomed and trained to a great extent in their particular subject matter. They are interactive with their students and entertain civil discourse. You can even contact the faculty after hours in regard to consultation, assignment updates, etc.
