Placement Experience

1.5

The best part of the university is that it is a open university so students can study while doing their jobs. The negative thing about university is that it has a some complicated rules in which most of the students get troubled. So for that watch videos before taking admission.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very feasible. Which is the one of the reason why every year lots of students took admission in the university. For example For Bsc Hons it's 13,500 which is 4,500 per annum (very feasible).

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes IGNOU provides scholarships but not for every one. They are only for SC, st , OBC and for only girls child. In which 50% of seats are for girls. There is no fix date or time for applying for scholarships you can apply throughout the year.

Campus Life

2.5

It's good not that best but it's ok labs well maintain ,I don't know what the sports though it's an open University so I don't think that there will be any sport facilities or anything like that but the other things are very good.

Hostel Facilities

2

Hostel Facilities, as it provides you distance learning so students don't need to live in a hostels. Talking about infrastructure is very good all. The main college , regional centres , and any other official of the university are constructed very well.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students are quite helpful on how to select subject, how to prepare for exams and how to prepare projects ,etc. They give you proper guidance. So every student must have contact of any senior one.

Admission

Got enrolled in the respective session. After successfully enrolled to the institute i got an e-mail where i get my enrollment no. After that i filled the my personal details and course details lastly deposited fee,got admitted.

Faculty

4

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
