IIIT Bhagalpur is a new college in the country. It's not the best but still it's trying it's best to support the students. That is the best part about the college that the students are given the maximum priority.

The course offered here are vast and very productive. All the topics important for GATE exam are included in the syllabus. Apart from the course core subjects, some enjoyable elective subjects are also provided like communicative English, economics, resources management, foreign subjects like French, German, Spanish etc can also be taken. As for the exam structure, there are two main exams per semester, namely mid-semester examination and end-semester examination. Apart from them, quizzes and tests are often held to test the knowledge. Assignments and projects are also given.

The college opened in 2017, hence no batch has yet passed out. Therefore no past experience about placement or internships are known. But regarding this issue, the director has already signed MoU with well known IT firms like TCS and BELTRON and few other companies for providing internship to the students.

Since the college is a college of national importance, all the major festivals are celebrated in the college and all important days are observed. Independence day and republic day is celebrated each year with full enthusiasm. Along with festivals, the college celebrates SPANDAN, which is better known as the freshers party for first year students each year. Also, college tech fest is celebrated once a year where people from different colleges come and participate.

The fee structure of the institute is little expensive but completely feasible. It is completely value for money. We have to pay INR 90000 as tuition fees and INR 20000 for hostel and mess fees per semester, payable twice a year for 4 years. No extra money is required for anything else.

The college is registered on the national scholarship portal as well as all the regional government scholarship portals. Eligible students can fill the forms and submit the documents to the management for approval. Also, you can get educational loan from nearly all the banks but the college also has tie up with State Bank of India.

The college has 3 computer labs and 3 electronics lab for practical understanding of the subjects. It also has a mechatronics workshop. There are many general purpose clubs like AI club, coding club etc so that students can learn out of the box and participate in various competitions. Apart from studies, there are various cultural and sports clubs for relaxation purposes. All the clubs are managed by the gymkhana council members. Cultural clubs include music & dance clubs, quiz and literature clubs etc, while sports clubs include cricket, volleyball and badminton club. Due to lack of space currently only 3 sports club are active. Also, Intra competitions are organised regularly to maintain the competitive behavior as well as learn.

Since the college's original campus is being built and it will take another couple of years to complete, the students stay in the temporary institute hostel. These hostels are provided by the institute inside the campus. There are separate hostels for boys and girls and separate hostels for different year students to prevent ragging related activities. All the rooms are shareable (Either two or three people live in 1 room). Hostels are located in an area with lots of trees to prevent pollution. 24 hours electricity and running water is provided. The college is near Ganges so the view is also very good and soothing.

Since the college has opened in 2017, therefore no batches have yet passed out and hence no alumni are there. As for senior students, I myself am in the senior most batch of the institute. All the seniors are very good and helping towards the betterment of the institute and always help the juniors.

I had given JEE mains exam in 2017. I secured AIR 34734 in JEE mains. Henceforth I was asked to fill the names of colleges in the counseling. I filled the names of many colleges including IIIT BHAGALPUR. In the seventh round of the counseling,I got this college. After allotment, I had to come to the college with all the required documents for physical verification. Thereafter the fees structure and everything was given and I completed all the payments and joined the institute.

The college comprises of faculty from all over India. None of the faculties are from outside India hence they are comfortable in English, Hindi, and regional languages. All the teaching staff are Phd holders in respective subjects from respectable colleges (most professors are IIT graduates). All the junior technical assistants are atleast M. Tech holders. The faculty comprises of experienced staff and all are young. Their teaching is very good and proper attention is given to all the students. Lecture notes are also provided for all topics and faculty also advice us with life related issues.
