Remarks

The library is something which can be considered as the best part here it's one of the biggests in DU .The infrastructure is good and it's becoming better with time. The fee structure is not out of reach. The faculty of language and science is really good. The Audi and the canteen could be a bit better and same with the parking facilities for students.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum was quite wide as it offered many papers that we could study and we got to decide it ourselves in each semester for GE and other papers. The exam were conducted at regular intervals as per the guidelines and were monitored by DU and UGC so didn't have to worry about that. All the important notifications were given at time.

Placement Experience

3

There were a few placement melas organised but it was limited so not much to offer there. The college also didn't offer any internship at least not any I know of. It just provided a mere platform for the firms to hire students who were eligible only in event organised by Placement cell. I hope it's better now.

College Events

2.5

There were a good number of events celebrated at college from departmental to common ones. The college held orientations for all the courses separately and also their respective departmental fests at the end of the year it organised its Annual Day celebrations and the annual fest Transcend which was what most of the students were excited for. It organised competition for sports and other art too.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is lower than many of other colleges in DU so I'd say it was quite feasible. It also offered scholarships to help students financially. It was a reasonable fee for the facilities provided by the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got annual scholarship which was offered to financially unstable students for this we had to get ourselves interviewed by professors who asked us questions about how this could help us and how much it really mattered to us. It offered special scholarship to sports teams.

Campus Life

3.5

The labs are really good as they can host a good no of students, I really like this particular part although I wasn't a part of the course which required a lab. Extracurricular activities were organised and had their own departments which made sure things were smooth for students interested in that.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students were a bit helpful with the regular stuff. I'm not sure about it's alumni network although there were a good no of students who are alumni of the college and hold good position in the society. Some are famous too. Seniors are good if you get to know them once.

Admission

It was according to the strict guidelines of Delhi University, once I made it to the cut off list I got my admission done. I had to go there and buy the prospectos and fill the form myself and wait for the document verification at the Office and once it was all done we paid the fee.

Faculty

4

It was good had some really good professors there as they were experienced and possessed really good knowledge of the particular Paper they were reading. Faculty was cooperative with the students and offered help whenever needed.

The course curriculum is a bit too theoretical and less practical. The exams in the college takes places every month which are seasonals and are for internal marking and then we have semester exams in every 6 months which accounts for the external marking.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
