Remarks
It does not have a railway station. This is single but a very big disadvantage of this college. Remaining all things are good. It is one of the most beautiful campus. It has much greenery and campus spread in around 300+ acres.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course Curriculum is quite good here. Competition increases as all students got this instituition after lots of hard work. Exam structure is quite similar to other colleges i.e. 2 semesters in a year. Each semester consists of one midterm, one class test, internals and endterm.
Placement Experience
Students fights for IITs and NITs for the good future i.e. Good placement. Here, placements are quite good on comparison to other colleges. Avg. Package is 6 lakh. CSE and ECE students can get 10-12 lakhs easily. Maximum package of last year is 1.2 crore.
College Events
Annual cultural festival - Hill'ffair In this many clubs and teams of college participate. Celebrities also come to entertain the students. It is a three day festival. Annual technical festival - Nimbus In this, all departmental clubs make projects and the at the last best departmental team is declared as winner.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is same as other NITs. This is government instituition so all fee are declared by government itself. Here, fee structure is different for different categories. Also different as different annual income of students.
Fees and Financial Aid
I am general category student so i don't get any scholarship. But SC/ST and OBC students get good scholarship from the instituition. Loan facility is also provided to students for their studies. Our campus has SBI bank to deal with these problems.
Campus Life
Extra curricular activities are also very good. We have all types of sports. NIT playground is enough large for many these sports. NCC and NSS also play a vital role in creating a disciplined students.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are really good. Containing all the facilities that is necessary for students. It has one joint mess. The quality of food is also very good. Hostel also have many courts like badminton, table tennis etc.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumini are placed in very big companies. They provide funds for different clubs and societies. They helps us in many ways like providing or sharing their experiences of college and also to get internships and all.
Admission
I got good rank in jee mains exam. IITs and NITs are reputated instituitions in India. Admissions in these colleges are not quite easy. I got selected in civil stream in 2018. Admission Process is similar to all engineering colleges i.e. on the basis of JEE rank. When you get good rank, you fill tha JOSAA form to select your preferences of different colleges on the basis of your rank. After the results, you get the college.
Faculty
Best Faculty is one of the main reason for selecting college. Faculty is very knowledgeable, practical, cooperative, friendly and helps in our innovations. Most of the faculty did there Ph. D from IITs. They have very vast knowledge and experience in their subjects and fields.
