Remarks

Not actually "bad" remarks, but constructive ones for sure. As I mentioned before, they can give a thought or two about increasing the difficulty level of the curriculum. Also, the college timings can be a from 8.30 AM, rather than from 7.30. It gets over

Entrance Preview

For B.Com, the 12th results itself works as the criteria for your admission. So, no entrance exam.I had few options in my mind other than Symbi obviously, but as I visited the campuses and did the research work, I found Symbi to be the most credible hands I can lend my 3 years to. Not criticizing other colleges but if you really wish to broaden your horizons, and if you actually want to surround yourself with an awesome crowd, amazing faculty and a serene city, Symbi is exactly what you are looking for.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

On a scale of 1-10, I would go with 7. As I believe it can be made a bit more rigorous than it actually is, since it's autonomous now. But that's purely a personal opinion as I am not an expert on the subject. It's just that I find the curriculum a bit too easy. But it's pretty good from more general point of view, as it is designed to suit almost everyone. It starts things from scratch. Also, the level of progression is pretty smooth and not too steep.

Internships Opportunities

Yes it does. I am not very much aware as I am not into all that. But names like Deloitte and Goldman Sachs I regularly overhear from my mates.

Placement Experience

4.5

I don't have a first hand experience as I am still in 2nd year, but placements and job opportunities are pretty decent according to the nature of the degree. It's as good as it can get. Most of my seniors are looking forward to the placement season. And the reason is obviously higher than expected packages and decent placements.

College Events

5

Number of events are too damn broad in this part of town. The most noteworthy is Symagine. Also, since Symbiosis Society has a lot of colleges under it's belt, there are plethora of fests all around. Cultural events are pretty much common and you will get lot of chances to show off your talents as the college proudly has it's very own state of the art Amphitheater in it's campus.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Quite feasible. In general, 16.5K per year for a student from any other state than Maharashtra. It varies a bit depending on if you are a localite or an international student. It also covers medical insurance, so it's a pretty good deal (a term I generally avoid while talking about education). But yes, it's quite feasible and pretty much negligible when you do a cost benefit analysis.

Fees and Financial Aid

Mostly to people from Maharashtra. But there are other ones for students who are economically challenged, after providing with the certificate for the same. More can be enquired from the office.

Campus Life

3.5

Gender ratio is on the appreciative side. The crowd is pretty diverse and you can find people from almost all over the world. Workshops are pretty amazing and are pretty much eye opening. And Symbiosis' entire existence revolves around "Vasudeva Kutumbkam" (The entire world is a family). So everyone hangs out with everyone. And not just that, you won't be able to make out who is senior and who is junior. They are completely foreign to the concept of ragging and seniority-juniority dynamics, and as i said, "Everyone hangs out with everyone."

Hostel Facilities

4

I stay in hostel and I like it. Sort of.The rooms are decent. Above average you can say. I like it because of the security it comes along with. The mess food too, is pretty good and decent. The charge is a bit on the higher side, 1, 00, 000 for a year as

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are pretty much helpful and they don't even consider themselves to be senior (And No, I am not generalizing!). They will probably be your first friends you will make in this college and they will never say no if you ask them for assistance i any walk of your college life. That's one of the foremost reason you will grow fond of this place.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is pretty hectic to be frank but then again, I believe it's suited and I even prefer it personally. But most fellows don't, since cramming the entire syllabus up requires more than a night to get over with. Although submissions and all are

Faculty

4

Faculty in Symbi can be synonymous with "Awesome". They are quite experienced and if you go through their resume, you will find teachers who presented research papers in Harvard. That's such one of the aspects. They are masters of their trade and pretty de

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
