According to me thapar is good instincts for computer amd electrical engineering only.As for mechanical and civil there are not nany decent packages as for these previous engineering. Students have to be hardworking in these streams too because there is high competition during placement drives.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is pretty strict .So many quizes one after another.But they are of 15-20 marks but they are quite effective. Asit covers only few chapters .As of final exam they are of about 45% weightage 55% consists of MST ,quiz and lab evaluations
Placement Experience
Placement are decent for computer and electronics and electrical engineering But of mechanical and civil they are quit low packages. As of internship students get internships but only those which have extra knowledge and hard working get job in companies.
College Events
Events are petty frequent.Satarnuilia is one of event which is main event of annual.A celebrity is called for entertainment.There are educational events for hackers and coders as well.Recently zakir khan was there in event.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee is expensive. Fees keep on increasing after every semester around 20k increased .Computer engineering is more expensive then other.As of current rates first year there btech will complete in around 20lakhs including hostel.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarship can be availed by securing 96% in 12 or by coming in top students in thapar to get scholarship.or by getting 10cgpa in annual exam.they can avail 50% off.If one is hardworking and sincere can easily secured scholarships.
Campus Life
Extracurriculars are also good.Many societies are there for development of students.There are socitues for everyone as of coders,entrepreneurs, events management.Students are exposed to many things which help in there development.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes they will helpful by providing guidelines to get better placement during placement drive and They will also learn what are necessary things required by industry actually apart from college cgpa.
Admission
Once should get above 60% in 12 and have decent score in jee mains to get computer engineering for outside of punjab it should be above 125 out of 360 to secure seat in computer engineering. If you have 96% in 12 you are also eligible for scholarship .
Faculty
Faculty is helpful as well as friendly.A few teachers are boring and not interested in teaching. But as of keen students they will enjoy the method they are teached in class.Slides are given to study by students.
