Remarks
The college is located beside the river Ganga which is sacred and pure and so is the college. It's history and architecture are wonderful .When there was flood all around Patna , it was the college building in which there was not an inch of flood water. It's architecture reminds me of the old fort .
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure or curriculum is very well prepared as per designed by the MHRD . There are about 50 subjects in the whole 4 year btech course compromised of labs and assignments. There are 2 exams in every semester known as Mid semester and End semester examination having a distribution of 40 and 60% marks respectively and an attendance of 75% must be maintained if you don't want to be debarred.
Placement Experience
The placement is very well for the students of computer science engineering moving up to 42 lpa in 2018 and 28 lpa in 2019. Other branches are also provided with a decent amount of 5-8 lpa . The training and placement cell NIT Patna ensures that approx 90 % of the students get placed within seventh semester. And also internship is provided by various companies here.
College Events
There is a huge pile of events happening in NIT Patna. There are single day events and events that lasts 7 days .There are various clubs like arts and literary club , robotics club , SAE club , IEEE club etc which hold over approx 10 events at least in a year . There are cultural events, technical events , coding competition , treasure hunt, Entrepreneur realm, sports events etc
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is well for each section of people who belongs either to a lower income or higher .There is scholarship for the students who come under physically handicapped and SC ST students as per the national list of those people and they don't have to pay the full amount of the fees
Fees and Financial Aid
There is scholarship for the physically handicapped students and those who fall in the category of Schedule cast and schedule tribes . I haven't availed any scholarships till now. There is Allahabad band in the campus which grants loan or for students of Bihar the government itself grants loant with no internet and guarantor.
Campus Life
There are five labs in a week. There are subjects like Swatch Bharat Mission or NSS in which there is an expedition for the city or the river banks just to witness the actual stats. There is a Student Activity Centre which carries on the responsibility of the sports , gyms , dance club, music club , art club etc . They prepare students for the inter NIT sports meet .
Hostel Facilities
Yes ,I have opted for hostel . The hostel is very hygenic and the mess is also very planned one .The hostel is surrounded by trees and greeneries and squirrels and sparrows . There are a number of small plots which can be used as badminton courts or for playing cricket
Alumni/Alumna
Senior students are helpful in many regards unless one doesn't disrespect them . The ragging is strictly prohibited and so they barely ask for something rude , instead they provide us with notes, drafters and advices that might be helpful for the class or labs or curriculum
Admission
After giving JEE mains and JEE advanced, I got an all India Rank . Then JOSAA counseling, on the basis of the ranks and college choosing took place , in which I've registered and got this college. The admission process began after some days of JEE advanced . Every ranker has to register on the JOSAA portal and fill up the choices of colleges about 200 options available, and certainly a payment of fee was made . After this there are 7 rounds for the distribution of colleges .One can freeze any college at the end of any round or can float amongst the choices.
Faculty
The faculties of the classes and labs differ . In labs there are assistants which just help in the labs and the lab faculty just sit and watch and sometimes lectures us . The class faculties are well and learned and the faculty student relation is wonderful. Some faculties even a good degree can't get us good understanding of the terms and numericals.
