Remarks
Positive thing is, college is asthetically very good, cleanliness is everywhere it looks good. The classrooms and labs are excellent. Various seminars are arranged. The negative thing is, college really do not suppirt studnets in extra-curricular activities.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum of the course is not updated. When you are learning a professional and applied bramch then the curriculum should be updated but that thing is missing here. The exam pattern is according to the university, it is semester wise and there are two types of exams, mid-sem and end sem.
Placement Experience
The placements for the mechanical department are in the poor condition, they show that we have placed so many students but if you have carefully observed the companies, maximum are sales and marketing and IT companies. Core companies are not interested in our college as it seems. Besides, they blame students that we are not capable of getting job but the fact is they are not bring placements and also they just focus on assignments, attendence and shit work than actual making student capable of getting job. The internships are rare and stipend is also less than Rs 15000.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is quite expensive for a middle class family. It is around 90000 avg. The fee structure contains Tution fees which covers major area and then developement fee, exam fee, stationary fee etc. There are various schemes are applied by the govt which gives relief like EBC for general category and freeship and scholorship for category students.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are scholorships which are actual government policies. EBC - economically backward classes i.e. income less than 8 lakhs can take this scheme and can get half of tution fees back. Scholorship for category students. Freeship for category students. The problem is the staff which operates these schemes is rude and don't give information, we have to ask every time.
Campus Life
Labs are all good, there is every equipment we needed is available. Actually we can say proudly we have the most state of the art labs. Other college conducts practicals in our college because of advamced equipments. There is only a small ground, actually college do not have ground of themselves.
Alumni/Alumna
All the students are helpful. The alumni network is good and all students help each other through social media platforms. Some studnets prepare for competative exams in the library and help juniors if they need any help.
Faculty
The faculty in a college is supposed to embrace the knowledge of the student and satisfy the curiousity of the students. The teachers or professors are the real makers of the capable student. But, here in this college especially in the mechanical department the faculty itself is not well aware of the syllabus or the content in it. They just teach what is in the books and can not answer the queries of the student because they are not capable of it. In fact, they focus more on useless assignments and other steno work than actual knowledge.
