Remarks

Zakir husain evening has two courses in academics . One was Bachelor of Arts courses And other was Bacherlor of Commerce. So with this college's location. There were many local students who were studying there and they had a political mindset! Because this college has DUSU coalition so there were elections every year. Some students were extremely communal and they used to Bully(Rag) some students.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

There were 2 main discipline subjects i.e Economics and political science other was M.I.L and language subject. Total 4 subjects. D.U's syllabus are easy exam process are easy as well. I had strong strong hold on both economics and political science.

Internships Opportunities

Yes they does but i never get into those much so i donot have knowledge about it. But there were interships for Polity , mass media , speaker and business studies. That is all i know about it.

Placement Experience

2.5

There were placement cell but i never had interest on those so i don't know about it.

College Events

3.5

There were celebration of diff events on various occassions. Form freshers to farewell celebration of every department. Arts and cultural society has best events . There were DJ nights, union day . Sports functions, Debate and quiz on Academics , various seminars on academics . Even Former President of India Sh. Pranab mukherjee was the chief guest in our college in a event which i didnt attended. And every cabinet ministers come to our Annual dsy functions to distribute the awards to best performing students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Category students had more sympathy. My fees was 6800 each year which is quite feasible i guess. Everyone can afford it. But may be B.com programme has a different fees structure.

Fees and Financial Aid

Economical weaker section might get something and SC/ST base category too. And i don't know much about it. But university of Delhi do provide scholarship.

Campus Life

4

Everything was amazing, our college has the best Football team im whole university of Delhi. Our Football team was the top best team than the other colleges team. Those who were in other sports and ECA got good feedback + funding from the college.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

There was no hostel in our college. But in 2019 there is opening of a new building of our college , which is the biggest building in and college of university of Delhi. So may be there will be a chances of hostel now. And that building has 11 floor.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes! They were veey amazing. I had many good relations with all my seniors and juniors. In the beginning seniors helped us in the examination process and later juniors gave us respect. .

Exam Structure

It was CBCS system. University of Delhi has a good play with the examination process. There were basically 8 to 10 questions with choices. If someone will study only last month with full potentional, they can easily score upto 7 points.

Admission

I fill up the University of Delhi's registration form. On 20th july 2016! 1st cuttoff came , but i got admission in 2nd cutoff , they checked my marksheet and certificates and they find me eligible so i paid the fees . Thats all this is how i got the admission.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
