Remarks

Positives I have already mentioned. The negatives just like the two sides of a coin are lack of proper sports facilities and a cheap and good canteen service. The college also lacks a proper large auditorium with a good amount of seating capacity.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is CBCS which is one of the standard curriculum followed across the country. The course schedule is nice and the semester wise breakup of different subjects is nice. There are also ability enhancement courses as a part of the curriculum.

Internships Opportunities

Yes the college has a placement cell which helps the student to get internships and as well as placements in various reputed comapnies and NGO's. They work hard to help students in maintaining their CV and give them exposure to the real world which is full of challenges. I have not done an internship as of now as I did not get time from studies but will surely look forward to in the near future.

Placement Experience

4

The college has a placement cell , Finance Society and also a young entrepreneur society called YES. They recruit students based on their skills and interview then groom them for different placement drives and internships. Many students get placed in the final year only.

College Events

4.5

There are various events held in the college both academic as well as cultural. Firstly when the new batch arrives fresher's is organized for them by the student union. Then the diwali mela is held during diwali. And last but not the least is the college fest which invites lot of crowd from Delhi NCR. Many famous artists perform at the fest like AKHIL AND GURI. Apart from this various talks as well as seminars are also held every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is very feasible. The fees ranges from 5000 -10000 for a year apart from the examination fees which is 500 each semester. PWD students also get a huge fee waiver. The fees is vwry low compared to the facilities and academics given by the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are various scholarships in the college. Students from weajer sections of the society get different scolarships and fees waiver. Similarly semester toppers are given 3000 rupeees and a gold medal is also given to overall topper.

Campus Life

3.5

There are many cultural societies such as dance drama music quiz debate etc. The auditions are done in beginning of the semester for the same. The societies practice in the college hours and also take part in many college events across the country.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The college infrastructure is good. The campus is not very huge but it is big enough. The design is circular and there are many lawns and trees in the campus which is a great positive. The playground is big and the canteen is also good. But only negative is that the college does not provide hostel accommodation.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes the alumi network is good. Many of my school seniors have passed out of this college and are doing jobs in high yielding sectors. Few notable alumnis are Shoojit Sircar, director , Siddharth Malhotra , Actor. The college organises alumni meets in every few years.

Exam Structure

Exam is semester wise. There are two semesters in a year and semestwr examination take place at the end of each semester. The curriculum is CBCS. First semester exams are held in December while the next one is held in May.

Admission

The admission is based on merit list. Which is the percentage acquired in class 12 exams. Students from across the world can take admission in the college if they fulfill the required criteria. The college has high cut offs for commerce courses.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is one of the most qualified and highly enriching in the whole du circuit. Many of the teachers are PHD holders and have specialisations in their respective fields. Pol Science faculty is also very good in the college.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The course is really very interesting. It keeps up with our expectations. Involves both practical and theoretical aspects to make sure that we are able to face the real world. Also, with the help of the guidance that we get from teachers we're able to ace both the aspects. The examinations also are based on applications, thus, helping us to enhance ourselves in all possibilities.

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course itself is prestigious and is mostly opted for by people who plan either on preparing for the Civil Services or those who want to pursue academia. The course structure is framed in a manner that you don't just simply study history there, but you ingrain a critical viewpoint of a young historian. The faculty of History Hons. has some of the best Professors in the University, although you will in any course at any college find some teachers below your expectations, you don't have to bear them for more than 1 or 2 semesters. Passing the exams is not very difficult, but yes scoring above average is. If you get a GPA ranging from 6 to 7, you've performed fine. Above that is considered a Very good performance in Hons. courses of Social sciences at Delhi University. there are semester exams every 5- 6 months
