Remarks
One positive thing is that one can learn a lot not only about the course but about life also. The college is improving a lot from the past few years. Its one of the college among the top 10 nits. Negative thing is that here teachers are not paid on the basis of feedback from the students. If that would have been the case they would have been more responsible.
Course Curriculum Overview
I enjoyed my course a lot. Though in engineering colleges we cant expect spoom feeding, so one has to be prepared for the hurdles and have to come out of it. The course was quite tough and lacks practical use. Exams are quite regular and tough. There is one mid sem, one end sem and severa test exams consisitng of 30,50 and 10 marks resp.
Placement Experience
Placements have improved a lot since last few years. Many big companies come to our college with good package. They even provide internship. But all the internships are not paid ones. However the experience of the intership was quite good. I learnt a lot. The avegare stipend is 5000 per month.
College Events
Many events are organised in my college. Some of them are technical events, cultural events, ted talks, celebrities performances , singers, bands, writers, dramas. All the events are organised by the student union body and its free of cost.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure before my admission was feasible and affordable. But after my admission the fees were increased a lot and it became expensive for common man to afford. Being a govt. Institution it should have provided lower fee structure.
Fees and Financial Aid
As far as the loan in concerned, i have not applied for it. But there are very few scholarship facilities for general students. Even there is no such facilities for students having good marks. Even if there is any scholarship it takes huge effort to get it as it is a complicated process and the amount is also not provided isntantly.
Campus Life
There are many good extracurricular activities for one who is interesed includinf games, organising events, rangoli, karate. Labs need improvements in lab equipments, quality of teaching and it should be updated with time.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, the senior students and alumni are very helpful in every field. They maintian a good connection and bond with the junior students, guide them. One of the senior even made an app for notes of all semesters which was really very helpful.
Admission
I gave JEE mains and after cracking this exam, i gave a list of colleges according to my preferences. After the result, i was allocated a college from my preferences according to my AIR (ALL INDIA RANK). It was followed by reporting to the college in person and getting admission.
Faculty
One cannot expect much from the Faculty of engineering colleges. Students have to study by themselves most of the time. Though there is no doubt that the faculties are knowledgeable and highly educated but their teaching is not upto the mark irrespective of the course.
