College of technology does not stand among various IITs or NITs of india,but it is better than spending lot of money on private colleges. It is situated in rural areas maybe it lacks various facilities which you can get in various private colleges situated in cities, but believe be it is much better to study in hustle free environment.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is baseD According to AICTE standards. It is a professional course but it is of old standard. It not includes varius fields that are need of todays jobs. There are total 4 exams held throughout the semester 2 internal 1 practical and 1 external exam which constitute total of 100 marks.
Placement Experience
Placment and job opportunities are not up to the mark in our college. Basically 4-5 companies visit our college throughout the year for CS and IT students. Placements in Electrical and Ece are less. Negligible in mechanical and civil.
College Events
Various events are celebrated in our college by various societies in our college. First the freshers night for first year students. An intercollege sports fest spardha also organised in college in every alternate year.A science and cultural fest litrosphere is also organised by college atlast Colloseum is the annual fest celebrated in which there are 3 celebrity nights happens.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As college of technology pantnagar comes under the state government of uttarakhand college fee is highly feasible. College tuition fees is basically around 21k-22k which is much less as compared to private colleges in india and even some of the government colleges.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships are given to top 3 students of each branch about 8k every year. Apart from that there is concession in tuition fee is given to the students having their household annual income less than 3 lakh.
Campus Life
Sports facility is satisfying in our college.There is a big stadium is situated in our college campus which have 2 football fields, a racing track, badminton court,lawn tennis court etc. Teams from college represent our college in various sports events throughout india in various games. Apart from sports dance and singing competions are also organised for searching talented students in college.
Hostel Facilities
Yes i have opted for hostel. Hostel is also highly feasible compared to PG or rwnting room outside. Hostel infrastructure is normal.Food is not upto the mark but better as comaped to other government colleges.
Alumni/Alumna
Every year there is an annual alumni meeting organised by college management in the college auditorium for the students to interact with college alumini who becomes successful in their lifes and basically how they 'survive' in their college years. Senior students are very helpful in our college maybe sometime more than the professors.
Admission
Students who have passed 12th can apply for admission in college through uttaranchal technical university site. Merit of students is made according to their rank in jee mains. Selected students are called for counselling in the college campus in the month of july. Their varius documents are also scrutinised.
Faculty
Faculty in our college are not up to the mark.They focuses more on academics and less on practical knowledge of students which is the need of the hour. Some of our faculty are really good knowledgeable and helpful to students.
