Remarks

College management was the shit real shit. It was students which make the college proud. You will do anything to get out of this place once in and will pay anything to get back to this place.

Entrance Preview

IIT JEE I had the option of Chemical, Civil, meta in Roorkee, CS in BHU, or EC in Guwahati. I choose chemical due to my interest in oil & gas.

Course Curriculum Overview

Both the course and faculty were awesome. The course is very well structured and spread over 7 semesters mainly, final year was mainly concentrated on project and to know the industry.

Internships Opportunities

I had 2 interns. 1st internship was after the 4th semester at IFFCO, Kalol. There isn't any stipend for intern and was not mandatory to go for intern after 4th semester. 2nd internship was after the 6th semester at IOCL, Vadodara. No stipend was offered by IOCL but had really good knowledge boost and get to know many many practical things.

Placement Experience

All students with more than 5.5 cgpa got placed with an average package of 5+ lakh per annum. Very few below 5.5 cgpa got placed.

College Events

There were 5 major events every year. Out of the two were mind blowing awesome.1st Thomso - Cultural fest.2nd Congi - Tech fest.

Fees and Financial Aid

You can get a loan very easily at any point of time within college. There were scholarships available to economically weaker (Students whose annual family income was less than 2.5 LPA) students.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network:- You will get IITian in all industry no matter how big or how small.

Faculty

Faculty got a vast knowledge pool from which you can extract as much you want but you have to work really hard to come in the good books of any prof. so that he agreed to mentor you.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .

IIT Roorkee is the best one can get on overall basis.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement starts in Semester 7 and 8 for can say, in the last of graduation. HUL,TCS, Microsoft,JP Morgan and many huge companies visit campus for placements. Highest pakage in placement goes around 1.5 crore annually to lowest pakage around 8 LPA. Companies mainly comes for SDE role. But apart that few comes for PM, Data Science, Consulting profiles as well.

Responsive faculty and well managed curriculum to focus on specific areas of each students to make them better in the region of technolgy where they want to grow. mid level toughness with regular tests and end sem combining the internal and external practical exams.

I always loved coding and learning about new technologies. Also, jobs in CS/IT department are paid high. The faculty and student ratio is on the medium side. Faculties are highly qualified from IIT and top private colleges. They are very helpful and have a great pedagogy.

Best college of uttrakhand

Remarks:

A very good college. There is no spoon feeding scene like that of private institute. As good ranking students are there you can have a good academic competition which will nurture your ability and groom to you be a better engineer.

The feeling of being in IIT Roorkee

I didnt applied for any other colleges other than some iits which were iit bombay, kanpur, roorkee, guwahati. Just these four and nothing because i got a decent rank in JEE Adv 2025. No i didnt get rejection from any college with my rank in jee main and advanced 2025 The admission process is straight like 1) JEE main 2) JEE Advanced 3) Josaa counselling Cutoff for top seven iits is higher than all other iits neans that you cant get into top seven just by qualifying jee advanced, you must have a good rank....Read More

IIT ROORKEE - A SCRUPULOUS REVIEW

I took part in jossa councelling and got it . I was happy with any of seven old iits . In better way , i would be happy in going any top iit. Moreover i choose it because of it's weather and location. Rest all things are similar to all top iits. Nothing is less in iit roorkee. You have to give jee main then jee advanced. IIT Roorkee - The complete story

I had 4 main options in hand after JEE - BSc Physics in IISC Bangalore (I had cleared KVPY), Electrical engineering in IIT Indore, EPH in IIT Roorkee, and Computer Science in Nit Trichy. I did not choose IISC, as I wasnt sure whether I wanted my career to be in research. My coaching faculties advised me not to take an NIT when I was getting a top 7 IIT. It was a tough choice choosing between EE in IITI, and EPH in IITR. However, at the end, I choose Roorkee because of its legacy, better facilities, and a calmer environment.
