Remarks
The rules are quiet strict. Try not to break those. Like there is an in-time for main gate of the College and in-time for the hostels as well. Sports facilities are not that good but work is in progress for new grounds and badminton courts.
Course Curriculum Overview
IITs are autonomous colleges so they decide their curriculum on their own seeing the needs of today's Engineering graduates. The Course Curriculum of IIT Bhubaneswar is derived from that of its mentor institute - IIT Kharagpur.
Placement Experience
The placements are overall good. Computer Science Engineering gets the highest package. Last year mechanical engineering had 91 percent of it's students places. There is internship and stipend for M.Tech second year students and PhD students who work as teaching associates.
College Events
Many events take place all round the year like national sports day and national unity day. Many competitions are held on those days. Apart from that, there are many Institute seminars that take place throughout the year where many prominent personalities come to inspire the students and impart a good amount of knowledge.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The tuition fee for the College per semester is about 1 lakh rupees (all other fees excluded like security deposit etc). But if you belong to the OBC category then you can get 66 percent fees remission. SC and ST students have 100% fee waiver. The hostel and mess fees is about 14000 per semester.

Campus Life
There are extra academic activities in the evening that include NSO (different sports like football, cricket, badminton, table tennis and volleyball), NCC and NSS. Apart from these, there are different societies that conduct workshops for students like dance society, music society, drama, programming, robotics, literary societies and many more.
Hostel Facilities
There are four hostels namely Mahanadi hall of resistance for second and third year students, Subarnarekhahall of resistance for fourth year students, Ganga hall of resistance for all girls and Brahmaputra hall of resistance for first year boys and M.Tech students. There is also a upcoming new hostel for students taking admission in 2020. There is mess facility in hostel.
Alumni/Alumna
Senior students help the most. There is a Counselling Service Team that help the freshers in the beginning of the first semester. Alumini network is very strong as students from IITs get into different MNCs in India as well as abroad.
Admission
Firstly give the JEE main examination conducted twice a year in January and April. After clearing mains you are qualified for JEE advanced. To get admission in any of the IITs, you need to clear the JEE advanced in open category or in your respective category.
Faculty
The faculty are mostly from Odisha itself. They hold degrees from other prestigious colleges. The alma mater of our director is Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. Second third and fourth year faculties are very good.
