Course Curriculum Overview

1

the course curriculum is some what relevant but many subjects are there that are unrelevent and bad to be in a engineering syllabus. But overall its not fully industry relative but its gives you idea about that. we should be given more time to study by ourself rather than learning biology which is in the syllabus just to forget everything after 2 days of exam. The frequency of test are high. So much lab work and then assignments and then the tutorials and then class tests and mid sem end sem without a break while maintaining 80% attendance to be able to sit in the exam

Internships Opportunities

5

most of the roles are of SDE roles that are offered so most of the comapnies are of service based tcs wipro like that...and product based companies like ggogle microsoft macrohard is aslo there to recruit 1 person int he whole batch so that they can be the hero of the college

Placement Experience

3

placements are average...not feels like an iit but its ok ...this yaer percentage of placement was 90% and highest ctc was of 67.4 LPA with median of 12LPA and average of 17 LPA ...most of the placements for SDE roles. My plan is to finish my degree as soon as possible and get placed for a SDE role so that i can survive

Fees and Financial Aid

At IIT Bhubaneswar, the total 4 year fee is approx 11.5 lakhs comprising one time admission fees (1 lakh per sem) other institute charges(9.5k per sem) and mess (18k per sem). The fee is subject to revision, though no recent hikes are officially noted. Students form sc/st/pwd categories typically recieve a full tuition fee waiver, while ews and obc students with low family income may get 2/3 rd or full waiver. Schlarships, ST/NEC/NTS/AICTE schemes further reduce costs for deserving students.

Campus Life

1

Previously there were many fests but now there is oly one grand fest ironically which only lasts for 3 days with even lower bugdet than bhide's net worth. There are many clubs but are mostly time watse for most students ... but the sports part is good (only for who palys good from starting)

Hostel Facilities

1

hostel is good tbh. It is mostly clean you get single occupancy room and do naughty things all alone. We get a bed a table and an almirah along with fan and light in the hostel room ....the mess food is the worts that one can imagine...nothing tastes good ...they forget to add salt in food

Admission

i could get into any iits except for bombay, delhi and kanpur...but i chose this college because here i was getting a circuital branch but it was a mistak ...a really big one i should have gone for top 7 iits with lower branch. My jee rank was such a middle position that i chose the wrong thing in the councelling process

Faculty

3

the faculty to student ratio is around 1/10. They are approacheble ..one can meet them during office hours in their cabin. they are mostly supportive but are strict about deadlines , assignments, attendance. there are actually too many exams and its difficult to manage everything along with personal develpoment. Overall it is too much hectic

Interview Experience

5

ther was no group discussions ...it was just JEE Advanced and jossa councilling where i f up and let this college stay in the preference order this college is the only thing stopping me from becoming a happy person in life and bring joy to my familay having a gf

Night Life

5

at night you can go to canteen and cafeterias if you are hungry asf but the mess food was so bad that you could not eat it and you have to stay up late night because you have to submit assignment the next day...so its pretty chill. You can burn your a$$ by wathing couple doing gulugulu in the bushes in night...so its pretty comfortable to roam around en=ven in the night time

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students. The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini. The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.
