Course curriculum includes just the core Geophysics part, and along with some unnecessary subjects which we as a Geophysics student don't need at at. In other colleges geology is taught to every Geophysics student, but professor here be like "we don't do that"

I'm a student of Msc Geophysics. There's another course called integrated Geophysics which get admission through JEE test. So every professor discriminates us just because we're here by JAM and not JEE, so placement is minimum for Msc student, there's no internship provided to Msc student although it provides to integrated students

Several fests are organised here. Spring fest which is India's biggest cultural fest. Kshitij which is one of the biggest Asia's tech fest. Prithvi, which is India's biggest geology fest. All of these fest happen between jan and march

Fee is very very high, fifty thousand oer semester tgey charge us, out of which 13000 goes for shitty mess and 10 thousand for hall development i don't know why 3000 tution fee and remain other fee. It's quite expensive

There's just one scholarship available for us that is Msc assistant ship in which we get 1000 per month and that too with a undertaking that you'll have to persue PhD from here itself, although this is not a hard and fast rule

IIT is known for it's extracurricular activities. IIT Kharagpur remains on top of all inter iit competition. Coaches are also good, facility of gymkhana is also very good. Swimming pool is also available.

Hostel life is definately good, rooms are also good with 3 seater room but mess is for sure shitty. You'll get fed up of eating the same food every week. Gym is available, music room is also available

Sundar pichai ceo of Google, that is your ceo is from our college only google. Arvind Kejriwal is also from our college. They all are helpful seniors are also helpful.you can go to them when need be.

I gave JAM entrance test in feb 2018 which is for admission in masters. Form for JAM comes in around sept to oct. I achieved 217 rank and i was obc so i got an offer letter from IIT Kharagpur for admission in Geophysics

One of the worst faculty I've ever seen in my entire student life. Me as a +2 or Bsc student used to think that IIT must be having and A class professor but when i came here then i came to know IIT was never famous because of it's professor, it's famous because of relaxation and involvement of students in many fields
