Negative side is it's fee structure and a few building are old. The new library which they made is among the best but a few building which are of mechanical and civil department are old. From there the felling of 50 years of college comes.

The course curriculum of Thapar is quite simple. It has 8 semesters in 4 years. In each semester there are 6 subjects. Every semester has MST in the mid of the semester, EST in the end of the semester and quizzes, practicals and sessionals time to time.

The college has over 90% placements & job opportunities. The college do provide with internship to over more than 75% of the students. But there's a weird rule that when 75% of the students are not got the job opportunities, the college do not allow the students to sit again for the placements of better company.

Expensive as they are charging quite high but in regards to that the placements are not that much high. The charges which they took from me for the first semester are Rs.191000. Which is quite high for a student coming from average family.

Most the students get scholarship in Thapar which is based on the GPA which student will take. Many students got scholarship of RS.30000, RS. 50000 and a few got rs.100000. There is no 100% scholarship.

The labs and the sports are the best in this college. They are providing every type of lab. Even the computer lab have labs of different operating systems. They do have good sports facilities but most of the students are unaware about it.

The hostel infrastructure is good and the faculties are also humble. The mess food is decent and they do not interfere in small things like where are the students going or if any student is celebrating birthday in hostel.

The alumni network of Thapar is better than other colleges. There is no ragging in this college. A completely ragging free college are not found but this is the one. Here seniors will help you in every work and they are also humble.

At first I filled up the form for JEE MAINS and gave its exam. After that I filled up the form for Thapar University which was available on their website. After that on the basis of the JEE MAINS the Thapar University provide admissions to the students. All the documents are varied on the day that they have decided. Later, our admission was confirmed and we are allocated a seat in that.

The faculty is mostly having PhD degree. The teaching is not up to the mark, they are also providing students with online lectures which are recorded directly from the classrooms. But still all the teachers are not teaching well. Many teachers are also teaching good. And they all are available for any doubts after the class also.
