Remarks

All over college is good But also there are no placements as compared to other college. The campus is not so big as compared to other college. No doubt facility are good but are not so experienced as other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

My course is Civil Engineering and iam happy about my course. Exam structure is CBCS - - choice based credit Cgpa system. Our each semester credits are 24 and if have to pass the semester you have to obtain 24/24 credits.

Placement Experience

Yes our college provides internship and their is training and placement officer which deals with it. As such there are not that much placements but companies which come sometimes are not satisfactory. Package is less.

College Events

Twask is main function which occurs generally in our college every year. This is a great event. Many colleges are invited, annual function also is celebrated sports day, technical events and Teachers day.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is feasible and affordable too. For Boy it's 30000 per month and for girls it's 15000 per month. Their is women concessions for girls of 50 %as compared to boys. And this is really feasible and is very less.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are various scholarships for students and the criteria of scholarship is your semester CGPA. Whose Cgpa is more get scholarship and their are also other scholarships for OBC and below poverty line students.

Campus Life

Their are various activities conducted by colleges like technical and non technical events. LABS are really good and look excellent. Sport is not so good in our college, this is no ground facilities in college.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumini network is not so good Coz college is not so popular and is on its devolping stage. And senior students are happy after being getting degrees from around college and iam also a final year student and happy with my college.

Admission

My admission in college happened due to Himachal Pradesh common entrance test (HPCET). This test is conducted by Himachal Pradesh Technical University and there is other criteria too of JEE mains. The merit list is obtained on which basis entrance occurs.

Faculty

Faculty of our college is nice. And they are very cooperative. They treat us like their child and best part of our facilities is that they keep us happy. We can ask any type of Doubt with them and we are compatible with them.

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

I took civil because is good and all teachers are on there post and are very good. Civil engineering plays very important role in construction of buildings and dams etc. Exams are mostly held in September November and December for odd sem and for Even sem it is feb April and may.

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

My other options were both private colleges which I've stated earlier. They both are very imfamous colleges. But also tgere is a lot of students who took admission there.
